I removed the spare tire and jack, and thats it. no slicks, no skinnies up front. and Ididnt gain almost one second and 8mph from those mods. the thing you people dont seem to realize is that LT1s, well driven, are 13 second cars right out of the box.. it's been done countless times. patman ran 13.6 in a stock automatic LT1 car... and a couple of folks have gotten 13.5s.... patman trapped 100, and many 6 speed cars have trapped in the 101-102 range. mine was a 13 second car at 101 when it was stock..... and when I ran the 13.2 the DA was near zero. I cant help it if all that you V6 people have raced is slow poorly driven LT1 cars.. not my problem.

And I hate to break it to you, but a couple of LT1 guys have gotten into the high 11s with bolt ons. One of them is SAR2K.. dont know who the other one was... great weather, good track, well set up suspension, but only bolt ons (same as mine+ tuning, RRs, electric water pump, etc) SAR2K trapped 111-112 in louisiana doing it.

Dont blame me because your car was slow as **** when it had bolt ons
Well pin a rose on your nose. I'm sure the boys over at Camaroz28.com love you to death. Keep up the good work! I got called out, and everyone is badmouthing LT1s, seemingly thinking that they're all 14 second cars... how do you expect me to respond?

sorry I hurt your feelings over the internet ;) :D

I'm still calling on you for two reasons:

1. you lied about not having other mods... and probably have even more than the 2 tiny little (do-nothing) mods you listed.
and...
2. I've helped modify, drive, and race an LT1 Z28 (that was 285hp stock). It takes more than what you stated to get it into the low 13's at that kind of trap speed.

I don't dispute the ET. It's the list of mods I ain't buying into. But whatever, "maybe" you have a ringer... ;)

oh..and about the bottle...i leavemine in the car all the time too...i have thermostatically controlled bottle heater that is on only while the car is on...so i leave the switch in the on position all the time so its ready to go whenever...never had any problems...but then again...some members here would probably have some issues with my methods of safe-guarding my car.....or just call me crazy hahaha

He didn't lie about it, did you notice the extra "mods" he has? THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING!!!! Both of them together add up to about 2hp at the crank under absolutely perfect conditions. I PERSONALLY watched him run what he said he did, and he really did have the only bolt ons that give you anymore HP... Intake, Headers, Exhaust. Quit trying to say it takes more than that because guess what, it doesn't. I don't care if you did build and drive an LT1 car, that doesn't make you the end all expert on them. Low 13s is an easlily accomplished task... it doesn't take an amazing car to get there, especially when you have a high 13 second car to begin with. Those mods are enough to reach that with a competent driver, which GN-T66 is. If you were unable to make those times with similar mods in a similar car... then maybe you're an incompetent driver.

Yeah there is.. Shirl has no idea what LT1s are capable of, and that's obvious from her posts. She's just as bad as LS1 owners making generalizations about LT1s being 14 second cars with no potential unless you do some major engine work.

Jeez, you're just as bad as Shirl! Maybe you two are the best buddies around here. Not sure what everyone has against LT1s on this site, just because I didn't post all of my mods.. but you people really should get to the track more often!
