what is wrong with my car?????

ok...the following was from my HELP!!!!! post a while ago...it was at the shop today...they hooked it up to computers and all that and it seems to be running too smoothly for internal engine damage...the thought now is that it is some sort of sensor or electrical problem...anyone know what it could be???

so iwas going my practice runs...and i dont know what the real times are obiously these are just practices...and i was getting mid 13s on just the supercharger...which is about right...and then i went to inject a 125 shot of nitrous with it...the car wasnt having any of that...it was bucking and sputtering and made me run 15s...i tried a couple times but got 15s every time...so i just figured my fuel system couldnt handle it...so im thinking ok...no problem...i'll just run with the supercharger only...get in the 13s...and that'll be cool till i get a pump...so i went back to doing runs SC only...except now...i still can get out of the 15s ...i had new spark plugs and wires and a new battery put in...but nothing...still in the 15s...i messed up something...but have no idea what it is...i cant hear, see, or smell anything..all i know is the car is like 2 seconds slower!...anybody have any ideas???

PS: my intake air charge temp sensor has been ripped off for a while...it didnt cause any problem while i just had the SC ...could it finally have caused a problem when i ran nitrous with the SC??

are you in like speed density mode or whatever it is called?

When something is wrong with the car, the car will sometimes go into a mode where it limits how much power you can make and usually won't let you go to fast either. Usually you can feel it when it goes into this mode, so maybe this isn't the case with you if it seems to drive normally just fine.

DUDE! ...i think you're on to something...because once this started happening...me running slower times...i dropped the shot so see if my car would handle it...75 shot ...the fuel system might not be able to handle that fully but you'd think it would make some difference...but it didnt...no matter what i did to the car to try to run faster it made no difference...as if the supercharger...the nitrous...wasnt there at all

do you know what sensor this has to do with?...or how i get it out of this mode??

Have you set off any SES lights or anything?

If you are in that mode your car will not go over 40mph and if you floor it it will feel slower than a honda. Your reduced engine power light would also be on. If a sensor is out on your car you would be showing a light.

ahhhhh crap...it definitely goes over 40 and no SES light...could it be something with my mass air flow sensor?...maybe not out but damaged?...it read that Speed Density used to be used and they switched to MAF in 94

I think a SES light would be on and giving you a code though if it was your MAF. But people have had troubles with them and FI before. Might consider that an option, but might not be the problem however.

Could be maf, tps, oxygen sensors, spark plugs, wires, etc

Did they do a compression test at the shop to see if everything was looking good in the engine?

yeah im pretty sure they did a compression test...cuz he said "those spark plugs are a pain in the *** to get out" lol ...damn...electrical stuff!

well this is just great...i just spoke to the mechanic at the shop i brought it to...they're usually pretty good...he can hear some valve train noise...like the rocker arms clicking or something...but since my car has a blower and nitrous on it...he doesnt want to work on it because he doesnt want to be held liable if i blow the motor...so thats it...im picking it up today
