supercharger?

i was reading about superchargers off the mod enclyclopedia here and was wondering howmuch one would cost for 96 firebird and what else i would need because of the high price on gas i usualy dont buy top grade gas its usualy medium and was wondering how this would effect the supercharger if i were to get one (detention) is it worth it? You can get a boost retardant if gasoline is one of your concerns. With mine since 91 is as high as it will go, I set it at 2. 1 ofcourse would be fine, but I play it safe. When I add more Octane, I set it at 0. Yep, you can feel the difference.

From what i hear superchargers are awsome. But very pricey. They cost around 3500.00. Thats if you install yourself. They look pretty easy to install. Its just a bolt on. They say you dont need to do really anything to your engine. Just depends on the Boost you run. I heard you had to adjust your timming to stop detonation if you run a higher boost. I believe the boost is around 6psi. But you can change the pulleys to get 9 or 10. But i would read alot before doing that though. I believe you have to adjust a few things for your engine to handle that boost. Theres a few people here that have them.
