Well boys i opted to try out the 3.73's.... i'm more into street racing and stuff....so..... i think the 3.73's would be worth the shot... i bought a one piece driveshaft well i was at it.... so i should feel a noticable gain off of this stuff..... hopefully my blower doesn't go on me again....
i'll have them installed in about 2 weeks, and i'll keep u guys posted...

the problem w/ higher gears is that if u have a manual, u have to shift really quick, over and over. in an auto, it isn't as much of a problem. if you do get 3.73's, maybe u'll wanna get 275-40-18 tires and rims so that u'll get more traction w/ the taller and wider tire, and u'll gain back a little time between shifts.
In my friends corvette, he's got the stock motor w/ just intake mods, 275-40-18 tires, and a rear diff. change to a 3.73 transaxle in the M6. at 65, I can cruise at 1500-1700 rpms. i dunno if this matters, but I figured i'd throw it out there.

i just put on some 18" Y2K C5 rims on my car like 2 months ago..... and i have 275-40's in the back as we speak......so that has been taken care of..... the quick shifts was one thing that i was kinda worried about.....however, if it makes me quicker, then i don't think i'll mind too too much......
as for the anti-slip tape.....i put the blower on over a week ago, probably closer to 2 weeks.... and i haven't even tightened the belt yet...and it is a brand new belt...so... actually today when i tested it...i made about 5 lbs of boost... so i'll probably tighten it soon... just cause the belt is new and is stretching.....so because i'm holding boost so well, i'm assuming the anti-slip tape is working well.... kinda hard to see the SC pulley in there...but as long as its making boost i assume she's doing fine...
i'll keep ya posted
check out my site if u wanna see a couple of pics of the new rims on my car http://www.geocities.com/umvagia0/
go to pictures.....and the new pictures...
tell me what ya think

I've seen your website before but after checking it out again today all I can is DAMM!! You got the most nicest bird around. Very impress what you have done to that car. Mods and turning it into a 98+. Very good. Oh yeah, nice wheels too.
How's that west wing? It doesn't scrap like crazy does it?
OFF TOPIC:You're a big guy. You workout alot huh? I'm trying to make time and starting back up again on weights. Hopefully late this year I'll be back in top shape again. Keep up the good work.
Thanks bro, i've spent way too much on my car...it is part of the disease .... the ground kit is great doesn't scrape too much, u gotta be really carefuly though...especially in the front.. i never park with my front end first..as the curb usually scrapes the crap out of the front piece....the 18" wheels popped it off the ground a bit, but the gfx saved me from looking like too much of a 4x4 .... i'm still considering adjustable springs.... but we'll see.... that'll be for next year.....
As for workin out... i hit the gym about 6 times a week... goin a little hardcore lately, cause, well it's summer and u gotta look good for the ladies...... the hardest part is getting into a routine.....but once ur in the routine, and u start noticing resuts, it just gets so much easier...... the biggest tip i can give u, is that ur Diet is probably the most important thing to look out for, probably more than working out.... but there are different diets (i.e. for bulking, or cutting).... gotta have the will power
thanks for the review bro, if u got anymore quetions just send em' my way..

Just for information purposes. 3.73's are lower gears than 3.42 gears, thus they will cause your engine to rev higher, and your gear changes will be quicker. The plus is they give you and excellent bottom end, but they tend to kill the top on a V6. A V6 handles 3.42 much better than 3.73's
2000 Firebird. Whisper Lid, True duals, TSP mail order tune, Built Tranny , TCI 2800 stall verter, B&M tranny cooler, Eaton LSD, 3.42 gears. Current best ET. 15.232 89.09 MPH 2.175 60ft on stock 3.42\'s and open diff.<a href=\"http://www.geocities.c
since you have 275-40-18's already on the car, 3.73's won't hurt u bad as far as fuel economy or shifting.
good dedication on the weight room dude. I play college ball, and being able to overpower the other guy makes it so much more fun. remember, don't forget to work the legs!
