On the topic Nocutt brought up in my last post, additional fuel injectors, can L67 heads be used with our manifolds? This would give us 6 addtional injector ports if it were possible as the injectors on L67s are in the heads and ours is in the intake manifold.

In theory it should be feasible, but I don't see how you will run another fuel rail...besides it is not worth the headache...maybe if you plan on injecting C3H8 into your manifold...lol! And there is the problem of what to use to drive these injectors.

Nocutt I was planning on using the AIC unit that has it's own amp to drive the extra injectors. I got this thing about having the extra injectors before the TB and having the BOV go off to the atmosphere with fuel under the hood. Maybe I'm thinking wrong here.

it's possible, but the L67 heads flow worse than ours because of the injector bosses being plumbed into the heads. tuning would be hard as hell to do.

The AIC is set up to come on when on boost. It is independent of the stock system. The rest of the time you are running off the stock setup. I might be wrong but I think it be fairly easy to tune this way.

LOL!! You make it sound so arbitrary...
It is easy to tune but make no mistake it isn't a work in the park, due to how turbos have a geometric pattern of boost and how well the engine will ingest(or not)air at any given RPM...well unless you have a long stretch of road or access to a dyno, it is time consuming!! but I am sure you get the picture ;)
Also I am not sure how you plan on running the MAF but I run a suck thru and a closed loop BOV. In any case the AIC should be between the TB and BOV. This is subjective, but I have never smelled any fuel when I was running an open loop BOV, which makes me believe that the BOV will release the pressurized air that hasn't gotten atomized fuel yet. Meaning it is mostly air behind the BOV that gets pushed out. You have to think of this as a closed media...when the TB plate is closed some form of "boost stacking" exist for just that brief period in time...the turbo is still spinning so more air is still been moved but simultaneously the valve opens. Air in front of the TB will still be forced against the plate while the uncoming will be pushed out of the valve...
Yes I am thinking out loud, but that is just the way I see it :D

Nocutt, thanks for the input. Yes I know it will not be a walk in the park so to speak. I do have access to two dynos in my area. I don't know how good they are at tuning yet. I like the closed loop BOV you mentioned, which one do you have. It does make since what you said about stacking as well. I was only thinking out loud about the L-67 heads. I got to keep coming back to the KISS thing. What can I say I'm a refinery operator, I'm used to looking at over 200 control points on my board. You get used to it.
