  • Question for Taigo

Have you had your car with the turbo on, during the summer time? Im curious as to how it will run in 90+ degree weather. That would be my only concern with this kit as of now, because im not sure anyone has had it with this kinda extreme weather.
im talking about the 3.8 kit

Well it got up to 100 degrees a few weeks and and it ran fine. Lately it has been up in 90s and all is well. It even likes 14psi in this heat :D

if I hit hte gas, at a rpm where it can spool already, there is virtually NO LAG. Like yesterday on the hwy, just cruising at about 3500 rpm, its well into boostable rpm, if I put any load into the engine, instant 10 psi.... :D
cruising at about 80 mph at about 2500 rpm I can still get 5-6 psi pretty easily just putting load on the engine, about 2000 rpm I can get about 3 psi, etc.

Man your kit is the shiznit cant wait till it comes out (ne ideas)? if you wanted to "expand" how do you go about making a turbo produce more then X pounds of boost? (what do you run in the 1/4)

All you need is a boost controler and you can set the boost to anything you want. You don't have to order a new belt or anything.

the turbo supports upwards of 500 hp so its quite "expandable" all you need is a boost controller as said.

Im running mid 13s but hope to run better next week.
