got no clue about cams! all i know is that i want a blown engine... the same set-up as virus and pathogen! ive got a machine shop doin all the work and stuff when im done gettin all that i need. hell, most of the info im getting off this board. i want a great cam for the blower and possibly 85 shot of nitrous in the future. i only expect to pull 6-9 of boost at most, possibly more in the future (10-12). but since the shop is going to have the engine out and all, i want to know of a great cam that will complemint my future plans. everything i want done, i want to do in one shot.

How wild do you want? With a blower cam you don't have to worry so much about valve overlap as you do with a turbo cam...
At any rate, you will want to favor the exhaust a little, since the exhaust valves are a little smaller and you have the blower to cram air into the engine. If you keep the LSA up, then it should idle smooth.
FOr a street setup you may want to just go with a nice High LSA, high lift, moderate duration cam (like around low 200's).
EDIT: Check out the VS cam for the L36/L67... use that as a reference, and you could make it a little wilder if you wanted.

I'd say something like a NA cam, since centrifugal blowers make most of their boost at higher rpm's. the nitrous shot might require a 1 or 2 degree increase in lobe separation to make optimal use of the shot, but i'd say go w/ a strong NA cam, and add a degree of lobe separation to the specs so the nitrous is well used.2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

You need to do research, there is no subtitute for adaquete research in any field you wish to delve into with your car.
IMO, shops suck. They want your money, you want your car to be fast, so they will suck you dry to do it.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro
