  • Dumb Question

After reading all the debate on turbos and supers... i dont know why i thought of this im sure it would work... but it would be Dumb to do it, could you put a turbo and a super on a car (i understand it would be a waste of $$$ etc.)
but theoretically i think you could, then you could make boost down low and build full boost b4 redline that'd be sweet... just thought id say that

A twin turbo would be a better setup. It acomplishes the same result. A smaller turbo that spools up quickly to make power down low, and the larger turbo throw out gobs of boost up high.

      That's not necessarily true.

Why do you think all the big number Supra guys convert over to single turbo from twin?

You can't really make a vague statement about just twin and single turbos, you have to take into respect the sizes of each before you can pass any judgement about efficiency.

Sure, twin sounds cooler-- but it's not better than single, plus it adds a lot more weight, plumbing, materials, MONEY, pain in the *** .

you can do it. alot of drag racers used too do this with a roots blower and turbo(s) feeding into that.they had all the low end trq and all the top end power. soon after they annihilated all the competition turbos were banned from that class. but it definitely can be don though. it called COMPOUND FORCED INDUCTION. look it up in a search engine too see if anything comes up. i am sure it will!
        boost, you got it???
