  • Paging Perry V

I was wondering how that tape was working out on the Powerdyne pulley for you. Just wanted to know if its still holding up, and if it looks like its going to last a decent amount of time.

    Thanks.

Hey, well i installed the thing well over 2 weeks ago...closer to a month i would say....and i still have yet to tighten the belt! It was a brand new belt i put on....i guess i put it on really really tight in the first place...... anyways.... i'm constantly making 5 lbs of boost no problem.....i do need to tighten now...cause before i was getting a constant 6-7 psi.... the tape seems to be holding up fairly good....i can't really see it....but i'm gonna go under the car and take a peak to see if its doin its job......it must be gripping though, i'll tell u that much...... i'll give it another month or so and then we'll see how long it will actually last.... but it is doing a good job as for now.

    i'll keep ya posted.

That's good to hear. Even if I would have to replace it every month, that would still be cool. When you decide its time to report again, can you note how many miles you've put on the car since? I'd rather know how many miles it will take to wear that tape out, since the usage of our cars is relative from person to person.

      Thanks!

Perry, do you know where we could buy one? I could the manufacturer in Carolina and they told me that they would only sell to companies.

Finally I got through and one CS quoted me for $240. Which is 2" wide and 27 yards long.

I found 3M and it might be just as good. Again they only sell to companies but the distributor will sell it to me for $160.

Right now I haven't done anything to my car. My money and time is going to my mini truck which the silent shaft, sprocket, oil seal and timing belt is being repaired.

As soon I finish this I'm going to concentrate on this slippage problem again.

Keep us updated on that tape. Thanks
