clocking a turbo

What all is involved with clocking a turbo? Do you have to replace the seals while doing this?

You simply loosen the 8 or so 13mm bolts that hold on the compressor side at bit, then give it a soft tap with a mallet on the compressor outlet. At least, that's how I do it.
