Will this work on our cars. I purchased the magazine Rides premiere issue Fast & furious mag.
there is a subaru wrx in there with this turbo, and he dinoed 350hp, and he is beating porche911 and mercedes s55.
Can anyone help?, and please no need for rice comments, i only want to turbo my car.
Thanx

Unfortunately this is a the problem with magazines which are fore"Fronts" for generation X...I like to call it that way. You cannot go by what the magazine does and besides what do you REALLY want to do? The biggest streetable, trackable...meaning the merge of this worlds will need a turbo that wouldn't sacrifice bottom end, stock converter or the highest stall deemed streetable. I wouldn't go past a T60...in other words if I were looking for a turbo, I will start with a cheap GN turbo and move up from ther...this turbo can be retrofitted with big wheels (both hot and cold side)...there is more to it though!

You have to match the turbo to your engine. If you don't do that, then bad stuff can happen. Yea, u can put a monster turbo on ur car, but it won't spool up till higher rpm's.

all you need too do is examine the compressor map and you will be able too see when you will make full boost. a t67 will make alot of power on our cars, you just need too see what the map will support. if you make full boost at 4500 and you rev too 6500-7000, it will be fine. you just need too launch at about 3500 or so. lag is overrated and you just have too accomodate your driving stlye too it. once you get into 2nd gear there will be no lag at all. but i wouldnt run too much out of that turbo unless you have some stronger pistons and such.
thanx for the help guys.
i am planning on forging my internals and such
Anyways, there is another mag. that i was lookin at and they are import drag racers
I know, I know import, none of us like them.
but the point is, they're pushing 1200-1500hp
out of a 6!!!, it was some nsx 3.0l engine that was twin turboed, with forged internals
now that is what i want, i know it wont be cheap but
Can it be done?
That 3.0 motor is super efficient. 24v, bored/stroked, P&P heads, ect. plus it's race gas. I'd compare horsepower and torque gains to those from GN motors.

I beg to differ...maybe HP gains but not torque (also remember this cars are "freely-revving" to almost 9K ) ;)
Anywayz if you had the mula then I would say GOD bless you :( ...the reality is however, this motors would have to have at least 5-8 yrs of research and development on FI to push the envelope...right now only a handful are pushing this engines' or their alter-ego (L67) so far...if anything I would have thought the fbody guys would have been on top of the game but it is the other way round the sports compact Wbody's are the ones doing the R&D...although the candidate is still the L67...so to answer the question, it is very possible to attain such a goal, with the proper R&D, financial back up, sponsors particpation and most of all...the right people to provide empircal knowledge....only a matter of time!

looks like im diggin a hole to deep to crawl back out of. thanx for the help guys.

The only way to 24 v is to buy an diff motor. Our engines don't have much room to bore and stroke. P&P heads, a cam and forged internals then the a Turbo, I would suggest a T 3-4 or a T 4 to start.
2000 Firebird. Whisper Lid, True duals, TSP mail order tune, Built Tranny , TCI 2800 stall verter, B&M tranny cooler, Eaton LSD, 3.42 gears. Current best ET. 15.232 89.09 MPH 2.175 60ft on stock 3.42\'s and open diff.<a href=\"http://www.geocities.c
A T67 would be too excessive for a stock internals motor. Once you go forged, you will be able to run lots of boost. If you are looking for a turbo to custom fab your own kit, shoot me an email. I can offer excellent pricing and don't mind kicking a little back to the board if the sales originate from here.
now i dont know what to do
should i forge my internals and run hight boost
or
buy a Nissan Skyline Twin Turbo Engine RB26DETT
for 7grand, that includes trans, pcm, ect
have less that 5k
which would be less
it dynoed at 650 hp
could i dyno those # for less
