thanx for all the help guys.
i have decided that this is way too much to do.
for right now im goin to save up money for forged internals, p&p heads, intake, ect.
exhaust, then want to hopefully then hopfully do a SEQUENTIAL turbo set up with a t3 & t4.
im looking at about 500 hps

LOL!! I honestly don't think you understand the intricacies of what you want to undertake...but regardless good luck!!
THE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...NOW SERIES-III
then what do you suggest?
i know that a SEQUENTIAL turbo set up is
not an easy thing to do. but if im goin all out
on my engine , then i want some high hp.
I want some type of twin turbo set up goin on
Have you guys heard of Banks, i guess they were
big time into twin turbo carb. motors, but now there coming back with twin turbo fuel injected motors, putting out 800, 1200, & even 1500 hp motors, and they might and i say might make a twin set up for us v6's
You can have twins without sequential setup. Just use one turbo per bank and use a crossover pipe before the turbines. This way you can even use slightly different turbos just merge the compressor side discharge together. You can even put your wastegate on the crossover pipe to control both turbos off one valve.
Before you do any of this count the cost. If you do the research you will come out ahead. If you don't, you'll give up!
If done correctly, this will make a lot of power, and be fairly simple when all said and done. you'll want to have a 2nd beater car to drive around in normally, so u can pull the motor out of ur f-body. with the engine out, u can fabricate a twin turbo kit, running a turbo off each bank. Custom exhaust manifolds would be good, or using the 2000+ tubular manifolds would work well too.
You'll have to decide whether to keep your AC or not, some ppl don't wanna keep it and make installation easier, others keep it and find a way to route piping around it. I'd clean out the engine bay, and measure everything and modify whatever needs to be modified. If you need to cut anything, make sure u re-weld it together with TIG welds since they are stronger. u might have to cut and weld the wheelwells to make room for piping. Also, I'd put the air filters in the wheelwells, or make use of the heat extractors on firebirds to put a pair or 2 pair on small panel filters there to get cooler air than in the engine bay.
You'll have to put an intercooler somewhere if you plan on running higher boost levels. if you decide to get rid of the AC, putting an intercooler where the AC condenser was would be perfect. running piping down to the bottom corners of the intercooler, and having a singe outlet at the top, through the radiator shroud/lower air box and going into the stock MAF/TB. The intercooler would be custom, but seems like it would be a good design. Also, if you could get the air to flow diagonally from the inlets up to the outlet like so: ///\\\ If a custom intercooler isn't in the cards, there are several different placements of intercoolers from the SC kit that have come out. Take a look at those.
Tuning should be done with a stand alone EMS. There's several out in the market, it all is based on what ur looking for in the box. Turbo had a nice compare/contrast article on them a month ago or so.
Emissions may be tricky. Idealy, u'll wanna run either twin cat's like on a LS1, right after the turbo's to make best use of the heat, or a y-pipe that put the cat as close to the turbo's as possible, or use the stock location as see if u can pass.
2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
Hey Arty don't scare him off. Artic Wolf is partial to stand alone ECU but that's not strictly needed. You really don't need to pull the motor, but it would make it cleaner. The rest I pretty much agree with. Wolfy you such a purist.
yea, u don't have to pull the motor, but it makes it easier to see everything. You can get a custom programmed pcm if ya want, but for 500 for set tuning, i'd rather pay a little more for everything to be able to be adjusted.
I'd rather be realistic right off the bat, rather than have him try it and decide 1/2 way thru that he can't finish it.

Yeah buddy it's all about knowing what your getting into ahead of time, and if he doesn't hear what your saying shame on him. This is not an overnight project. You might be better off waiting on Tiago's kits that are soon coming out.
thank you everyone so very much
i really appreciate it that you guys take time
to help us newbie guys out.
it sounds like an interesting path to take
as of now, i dont have another vehicle,
im still in school, but am thinking of everything possible, and your guys help is awesome.
is there anyway and ls1 twin set up would work for us guys , or is that a stupid ?
+ has neone heard of those Banks systems
