Hey Radcat, I've been having trouble getting onto cofba, I noticed you post there a lot. It won't let me sign in to post for some reason. Do you have any idea what it could be? I emailed them months ago. :( Are they having any problems or is it just on my end?

I ran 14psi for about a week before I turned it back down.

Try to email them again. They seem to take forever to respond. What are you having probs with? I might be able to help.

Radcat, what aftermarket clutch are you going to use. I went through my first stock clutch at 5,000miles and I wasn't getting on it.

I'm just going to get my stock one Kevlar coated. Hopefully this will work. It's worth a try since it's a lot cheaper than buying a brand new one.

We have a company here in Tulsa that builds excellent clutches.

if you think about it, our engines can really take 14 psi, it may not be healthy for the 3.8, but 9.5 compression is relitively low compression compared to alot of import cars with 11:1, plus if you guys noticed the GTP's with 8.5 compression were running with around 18 psi stock internals, but not for long they were having problems after too many hard runs. id say 14 psi is the highest if not 15 psi is pushing it for our engines stock, if it was up to me id run around 10 psi stock internals, anything else id buy better rods and lower compression pistons if my engine was on the older side, i would go 8.5 pistons before i would try running higher than 10 psi, but im sure our cars can take more than 14 psi, iv heard of 11:1 compression s2000's are running up to 12 psi on stock internals... but is not recommended, but people still do and have no troubles, yet people with older motors will have problems if they run higher than 10 boost on a engine that was not preped for boost, thats why i am going to buy a low mile L36 engine for dirt cheap and find L67 rods and pistons before i do this turbo setup, because i think the rods arnt strong enough on my stock L36, i just dont trust them.

man your rambling makes no sense.

IMO a turbo doesn't require that much strong internals parts to run, my car is a perfect example, old, high miles, stock, lots of boost,it lives.

3.8s should do just fine with their stock parts, after lots of hard runs if you have problems, hten just put lower CR pistons and be done with it, it will run extremely hard. And as people are with my car , you will be amazed at what the stock internals will take.

people have said that the series 2 has more potential than the Series 1 turbo...

                  maybe tiago has proved this
