how much power does that thing put out? and i'm not sure but are skylines lighter than our cars? because a fast engine isn't as fast in a heavier car

those are bad *** motors, but I don't think you could fit one in an fbody, then again you might be able to with a little(lots) of custom work =)

custom motor mounts would have to be made. I dunno if it would be too long or not. Stock, it puts out 276 hp. This would be a way to make our car's AWD if the fabrication was done. Lots of time, and prolly lots of money.

It is a nice engine...capable of almost 600hp on the stock block when tuned right...yes that is from a 2.6L engine...the problems are 10-fold!

I don't think you will be able to use the tranny due to the AWD drivetrain...don't quote me on this though!, your average joe will assume this will be pretty straight forward but it isn't...
The RB26 is a pretty heavy engine, plus it is long indeed...so the radiator might have to moved forward and/or the engine tucked into the firewall! You will need an adapter for the tranny and find a way for the engine, tranny and PCM to communicate correctly. Custom mounts have been mentioned...ummm good luck trying to figure that one out (headache)By the time you are done, it would cost you twice what you could have spent on what you have seriously!...More will definately have to be done, I am only going by what I saw a friend do, to get one into his 240SX.
My opinion...stick to what you already have...the L36/L67 is capable of enough hp and plus more...R&D is all that is needed now, plus a cheaper way of tunning the PCM!

only reason it costs 95000 over here is cuz it has to be made emissions legal and you have to pay the import and customs fees and such. I gotta quote for the engine, tranny, pcm, and harness w/ 30,000mi for about 4 grand...was gonna put it in my 300ZX but it wouldve needed custom fab work big time...its a straight 6 and it was about 5-6in too long

find out how long the LS1 motors are, and if ur within the same length by an inch or so, it should fit fine.

damn, I can get the whole Twin Turbo Skyline for like $1500. I can get the engine for like $500. Shippin from Japan will cost like $900 so, I wouldn't say it is a good deal.

Dude if you are going to get that engine you are nuts. An LS-1 swap is a better choice and much cheaper. I can get all parts necessary from a place that deals in Camaro/Firebird parts only for about $4200.00 that's with me pulling the parts. I also have a garage that will install it for $500+ any additional parts. The job would take 3 days, no big deal. So that's definitely what I would do, as opposed the using a Ricer motor in our cars.
