Dude if you are going to get that engine you are nuts. An LS-1 swap is a better choice and much cheaper. I can get all parts necessary from a place that deals in Camaro/Firebird parts only for about $4200.00 that's with me pulling the parts. I also have a garage that will install it for $500+ any additional parts. The job would take 3 days, no big deal. So that's definitely what I would do, as opposed the using a Ricer motor in our cars.

Rb26DETT is NOT a ricer motor. PUH-LEASE.

It is in fact a rice burning motor however.

The simple fact is that unless you want to spend fat money on a big custom project, an LSX swap or even a Northstar swap would be much more economically sensible.

Not that it matters but you can put an RB25 rear drive only tranny on it, the Aussies do it all the time. If you will notice just about all the Japanese high performance motors are listed at around 280hp, when in fact several of them are way over that rating. The reason is they got together with their goverment and said they would not make engine hp higher than that. But if you do the math on the 0 to 60 or quarter mile, you will find they lied.

damn, I can get the whole Twin Turbo Skyline for like $1500. I can get the engine for like $500. Shippin from Japan will cost like $900 so, I wouldn't say it is a good deal.

Just do some search there and u can find them pretty cheap. Japanese people don't like used cars. It only costs like $3000+taxes total to own a Skyline. You won't be able to drive it on street though.
But if you want to drive it, it will cost like $14000 to legalize it. :(
