Any of you wild men read any Dick Datson turbo material? He has been into turbo's since the 1950s with Studebakers. He has some crazy stuff. He certainly has a different slant on turboing a vehicle.

Where to begin. No intercooling under 7psi, waste of money. Use of vortex tubes for super cooling, 80 to 100psi pressure in -50 degreesF. coming out one side 270F. out the other side. Use of air amplifiers on compressor inlet for instant boost off line. Both vortex tubes and air amps powered by CO2.
Belt driven turbos, compounded with regular turbos for instant off line. Stuff like that. Did you know you can get 1600scf CO2 in a 20lb cylinder for something like 20 bucks?

The more reason turbocharging is described as been complex...seldom is their one way to reach a goal. Plus in reality who sets a WG to 7psi for long? after a while the greed of human nature takes over... :D

Every man has to know his own limitations! LOL. Of couse alot, 90% probably, want more than 7psi of boost, that's what boost is all about. But if you don't go over 7psi no need for that intercooler. Radcatt I have to admire your determination, it is so easy to twist that itty bitty knob, it's an addiction! So so easy.
Did you get the part about the vortex tube? You can use this for ultra cooling, if your interested I can explain how it is done without an intercooler.
