i remember an article about the powerdyne and it made 250 RWHP. it is a decent charger. it is not the best but it is not trash by any means.

as far as swifts race car v6 project. WHY A V6! you know everything so why use a v6 to go fast??

and for the retard that thinks his 98 car is sunset orange metallic.. WRONG! SOM cars are only 01 and 02 cars. your color is Cayenne Metallic.

those who talk **** about the powerdyne must have never used or experienced one. they are not the best as mentioned above but certainly not bad at all.

well...powerdyne starts boosing around 1800 so says their site...full 7 lbs of boost is reached at redline.

turbo...begins boosting around 2400 rpm, full boost around 4400 rpm...if you're running 12 lbs of boost, lag isn't even a factor.

both have their advantages...IMO, turbo seems the way to go for our v6; unless someone comes out with a sc that will put out 15 lbs of boost.

sorry for being off topic, but this whole post seems off.

I'd like to know how well that diamond knurl is working for you. I'm considering that for my Vortech setup. Have you experienced less slip and how does the back side of your belt hold up?

i would not recommend a roots for our engine...the only one i am aware of is the eaton GTP supercharger..that would take way too much custom fab to work, and could only reliably put down 7-8 psi. if u want a sc, the best route would be some sort of centrifugal sc...like a ball bearing turbo...running off a cogged belt...which would involve more custom fab.

LordoftheBling, the fastest top speed modified production car has a 3800 V6, a pontiac bonneville that tops out at 210 mph. The old record was held by a firebird that was running top speed of 208 MPH

the 3800 series II is probably one of the best v6's as far as reliability, the engine can take a beating, the block is very strong, the weakest part of the stock engine is probably the rods. which are not that weak but if i had to pick they would be it.

its making a respectable 200 hp with 9.4:1 compression, im sure with ported heads, intake lightened high compression pistons, cam, and a lightened/strengthened crankshaft you could reach over 300 hp N/A, look at that buick 3.8 Turbocharged grand nationals, there engine may be different but we have just as much potential as they do

On some boards, I don't remember if this is one of them or not, the delete won't "take" if that's the only thing you do.

But if you enter, change, or delete just one character, and do a delete, then the delete will take...

I went to the track again this saturday. Unfortunetly I only got to run one time. This time I put 75 pounds in my trunk in a desperate attemt to control traction. The result was not great but I still managed a new best. My 60 ft was a 2.392 my 1/8 was a 9.859 at 74mph. My 1/4 was a 15.360 at 90.35 mph. Not much better at all. But considering that I ran 17 times the night I pulled my slightly higher 15.3 and my 60 ft was even worse this time, I am pretty happy that my one run tonight beet them all.

Im happy to say that it seems like the groove put onto my powerdyne pully is working pretty well. It is a very consistent 7 psi. I reach the full 7 psi at 3 rpm and it just stays there. Even in 3rd gear were it would usualy go down to 5 and then slowy build up to 6-7. The car feels amazing. I cant wait to get back to the track! I officialy started keeping track of this 3 days ago after letting the beltshrink to normal size and then applying belt dressing on the pully it's self. I will imform those who care of any changes. So far so good guys..........
