I have a couple of q's.
1. I have a t46 turbo off a semi that i got for free. will it work? ive done my research and stared at the comp. map. i cant figure out y it wouldnt work. i may be new but i knw what im doing.
2. I am having my local exh. shop bend my some tubing for the stock manifolds. have i made a mistake by using stock manifold? im running it through holes under the motor mounts.
3. has every1 decided which size injectors to use for 10#? thats how much boost im going with for now until i do motor work and because i have 180k.

First thing first...more detail on the turbo (specs) number written on it. The only t46 turbo I have ever heard off, is from a cummins diesel!?!? and with a 180K I won't really try to put that much boost in my car...

no actually my engine may be better than urs cause ive got around 170psi comp. in every one!! It was a one owner, a grade school teacher. it runs absolutely amazing. i will probably go with about 6psi until i make sure it can handle it. yes its off a cummins but its relatively small. its a to4e "46". like i said ive already checked it out.

go to www.turbocharged.com and look up t04e 46 turbo its almost at 74% comp. eff. and about 81k rpm so theres plenty of room to upgrade what is our air flow lbs/min i figured it at 26lbs if im wrong please correct me i used on of them turbo calculators

Well... just figure out what boost you want to run and how many lb/hr for hp. Make sure you're in the compressor efficiency zone under max boost/rpm/flow and not below the surge line at lower boost. Turbonetics also has a sheet you can fax/email them and they'll size it for you.

For a manifold, schedule 40ss works best. Crushed to hell muffler shop stuff seems like you're asking for problems: 1) Performance will suffer considering a stock manifold is not designed to flow for a turbo ap... not a biggy if you aren't going for tons of hp. 2) What kind of reliability are you going to get out of such a setup? A proper collector leaves room for expansion... and damn, having a turbo manifold crack sux, believe me!

i am just gonna make custom headers. it will be alot easier after i thought about it. im not sure the size of the turbine side though. it may be about .82 not sure though. i was hoping that some1 could tell me this stuff since i am still learning about this stuff.
