First off I love taking pride in smoking v8 with my 6. Ive just started to drive and i work everyday but i feel theres a better way then blowing 4,000 dollars on a supercharger. I read that on some Toyato Tacoma's there are superchargers and I could put it on my car. Me having the same engine as the truck (3.4) is it possible to but that supercharger on my car with not to much effort.I was going to go to the junk yard and see if i could get one at a reasonably price. Your help is greatly needed!

Not really cost effective except if you doing and designing the whole project yourself. For one the intake manifolds of both engines are different ( I am also assuming the SC is roots-style). An adapter will have to be fabbed and then there is fuel and timing management to add...at the end I am sure it will cost close to 3-4K to get everything to come together... :(THE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...<b><i>NOW SERIES-III</i></b>

Just because they're the same size, does not mean they are the same engines. There's probably not a single common part between your 3.4 and a Toyota 3.4. It would not be cost effective to try to adapt it to fit your car.

Thanks for the advise. If that won't work then what would you guys suggest me doing if I want a good supercharger. About how much would it end up costing and is there any good used superchargers that would fit my car?<hr></blockquote>
Mach Performance has a kit in the Beta Test phase that runs 10 PSI with an intercooler. Total cost of the supercharger with tuning and bigger injectors is close to $4,800.
You also need full exhaust (cat-back, cat, headers).<b><a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/redaudiomobile\" target=\"_blank\">1998 Red A4 W68 Firebird</a> <br />10 PSI <a href=\"http://www.procharger.com/superchargers.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">ATI Procharger</a> <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/pb4b6eeb42f57d06389e3ac12068e7a67/faff97eb.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Intercooled</a> </b> <br /><b>~~</b>Borla catback, <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid91/pf2d3103bcf8fef15756e8ec41c695d6c/fa6c671d.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">3” Catco Cat</a>, <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid91/p8e41ca8b59b95024690456cd102f7c65/fa6c672a.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Pacesetter Ceramic Coated Headers</a>, 3.73 gears, Zexel-Torsen<br /><b>~~</b> <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid91/p5f73f1370269f5c5334b6d8cbbeec4d1/fa6c6712.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">K&N Air Filter</a>, <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid91/p9da8e4ea1855acbbfb5067bc9762b9b6/fa6e6fe4.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">TSP Clear Lid</a>, <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid91/p4f9c7720261bdd59f9e55275f022ef8d/fa6c6706.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">SLP CAI</a>, 160* thermostat, <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/pec71087de994f110a77b62a06ab5b77d/faff953c.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Autometer C2 Gauges</a><br /><b>~~</b> <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid88/p70f4e24cb84ebce6e87577a1086b47a0/fa901042.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Katzkin Black/Red Leather Seats</a>, <a href=\"http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid91/p768a90d0c13e9740c0d353ac1b322e6a/fa6c6717.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Bilstein HD Shocks</a>
