  • ZZP m90 kit for L36

I searched and i didnt see it posted here. ZZP will be coming out with a m90 kit for the l36 for less than $1000. It will be released february 1st. Install time is around 5 hours and accomplished with basic hand tools. No pics have been posted yet or stages with components. The base kit will keep the stock PCM, so you Fbody guys could probably use it. Just giving you guys a heads up and here is a thread from clubgp about it. Its 14 pages now and most of it is specualtion from fellow members and people asking whats all in it, but just in case you wanted to see it: http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...mode=1&smode=1

edit: i forgot to mention that i know that m90s on fbodys is a hard thing since it will be facing the wrong way, but i thought this would be a lot easier to do than swapping heads around and everything.

i talked to zooomer and asked him about some stuff..

L67 LIM With injectors put into it.
They mod the SC a little bit.
Very possible to do with a Holden M90 Blower, the hardest part is getting your hands on one of those! The price of the Holden M90 is not worth it though. ZZP also has a special way to power it, dont ask me how though! Should be released in the begining of Feb. but theyre still testing it! It was beta installed on someone's 160k GP GT.. Ran a 14 flat! This is because L36s have lighter internals then the GTP.. We should benefit more from the boost. The hardest part should be maintaining a lot of boost without hurting the motor.. Fuel system should help. They make an intercooler for the GTP but there might be clearance issues because a piece of it goes between the LIM and the engine so it raises the blower.. Ive talked to people and they have bolted the holden m90 blower on their car with a gtp LIM and it fit!!

fbodys definatly look more muscley. GPs, although i think they look good, do not look like a performance car. Plus being FWD doesnt help. Although v6 fbodys are RWD, i think GPs have the upper hand being as all the parts produced for the 3800 are based off the GP FWD config instead of the fbody RWD.

Take a look on ebaymotors for item # 7948102426. It's a kit to put the GM Eaton M90 on a Ford 4.2 V6. Who makes this kit(Check out the picture of the elbow that swings the TB to the front) Better yet who makes the elbow? I think this would make it Very possible to put the complete setup from a SC3800 on an F body.
