I hear batman has a new supercharger coming out.. when? no one really knows.. and its understandable.. that's not what this post is about mainly.. I was wondering what is the difference between batman's and the powerdyne supercharger.. they are gonna be around the same price probably right? What should get more hp gain? and geforce and stuff... just curious. Oh and release time frame for batman.. 3 months, a year, 3 years?

I will throw my hat into the ring now and tell the forced induction gang that I am working on fitting my 99 3.8L with a vortech charger. I believe my design will work well and will leave the final installation details to the installer. In other words, I will be designing the bracketry to accept the supercharger which is the most difficult part. All the upgrades will be up to the individual to decide how they want to build their system up. I will get you started and you will decide how you want it to end and fit your supercharger to your needs. Feedback anyone...180 Thermo, K&N Filter, Transgo stage 2, Pacesetters, Magnaflow cat, Flowmaster Catback, 3.42 LSD, Hotchkis LCA/Panhard, Bilstein, Eibach Pro, 1LE bars, SP crossdrilled/slotted rotors.

Vortech Project 1.0 failed.
Vortech Project 2.0 in the works

Ryan's "Batman" supercharger will be completed by the end of May hopefully. Then then beta testing will commence in June. Only 10 kits will be available for beta testing. Then 1 year from now, if everything goes smooth, the kit will be sold publicly and endorsed by ATI. Read the "Procharger 2.0" update post to find out more.
IMO this kit far surpasses anything done so far.

ATI Kit = A man's supercharger. Its durable, proven, gear driven, and can handle ENORMOUS amounts of boost.
Powerdyne = Think "Fischer Price's My First Supercharger"
Is it a super? yes. Will it make some power? A little...
But for roughly the same cost, the ATi is going to blow it out of the water.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

This same ATI head unit at 11psi gave a '99 v6 mustang 345hp, from a stock 190, so thats a 155hp gain. Our kit is a little bit better put together with a better intercooler and tuning so we should see similar gains with only 9-10psi.

Its too bad they went the commercial route though. I would have loved a kit for the p600, so I could pick one up cheap. for 4000 dollars its not worth it for me. I don't have that kind of money, if I did, I would have an SS. 2, or even 3 thousand would be ok, but the price just hit too high for me. I was really wanting one of those too!1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH

Actually, you wouldn't have got off that much cheaper...as i was doing the kit, i started to see the cost go up.. and i knew it wouldn't be something that would be easy to replicate. Going this route ensures a quality product. Your paying $4000.00 for the quality of the product.
I mean its the differnce of buying A Z rated Toyo or a Z rated BFG tire. I spent a lot more for my BFGs but not one has blown out or bubbled up on me. i used to go through the toyos all the time.
You can get the powerdyne, but then you have to deal with belt slippage and low boost. Ask Mccanda how well it ran.
Trust me... i wouldn't go this route if i thought it was going to screw the V6 community. Remember that if you can't afford it now.. this very minute, it doesn't mean you can never ever afford it.
My SC kit isn't a solution for everyone. For people like Magnus who want power out and does all his work on his own engine work, this is not such a great solution.
My kit is geared toward people who want more power out of their V6, who do not know how to do engine work, and who can not afford to pay for an engine swap, or a shop to do the engine work, and who can't afford to get an LS1 because of higher payments or insurance. All in all.. the kit is a relativley cheap solution for people who fit in this category. It is also a quality solution.- Ryan
A.K.A BATMAN
\"Be part of the solution...
Not the problem\"

Hey man, I know your not trying to screw anybody over, You've done more work for the v6 camaro than just about anyone, I totally respect that. Just like you said, its not for everyone. I certainly agree that the p-1sc is a far better kit, and hopefully I can get a used one somehow, and just get the mounting hardware from you guys. I just decided that if I was going to buy a $4000 supercharger, I had better beef up the rest of the car first. I want to be able to handle as much boost as that thing can toss out! But as soon as I get $4000, the check will be in the mail. btw. does anyone know any rich old ladies I can befriend before they croak? Anyone need a kidney?1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH

I'm suprised I have had no feed back about my Vortech idea. This would be a semi-do-it-yourself charger kit. All I would do is provide the bracket to mount the supercharger, probably a V2 counter clockwise rotating unit. The builder would then buy his own head unit, intercooler and FMU at his discretion and pace. This would be idea for the 6-9 PSI crowd who wants to do it their way. If you are happy with less boost, but easier installation, use Powerdyne. If you want all the power you can get, use Batman's kit.180 Thermo, K&N Filter, Transgo stage 2, Pacesetters, Magnaflow cat, Flowmaster Catback, 3.42 LSD, Hotchkis LCA/Panhard, Bilstein, Eibach Pro, 1LE bars, SP crossdrilled/slotted rotors.

Vortech Project 1.0 failed.
Vortech Project 2.0 in the works
