Sounds like you are smoking you clutch more than your TIRE!

DO you mean you like to spin the one tire? :D spinning one 255 street tire doesnt take very much effort ;)

Sure you have 3.08s? All factory 5-speed cars came with 3.23s

As for stock clutch... check your fluid guys. I lost my stock clutch first time car ever hit the track bone stock, blew out the slave cylinder and ****ed up the entire clutch system.

Then around 37k(30k on the clutch system) MY clutch was starting to feck up on me at launch and 1-2 shifts. My fluid was cooked, I swapped the fluid with synthetic and bled the system, car is now catching rubber 1-2 with 275s and LSD.

Cluth works great now with 39k on it, factory style, and I have ~2 dozen mid 14 second runs on it.

How does the Stage 3 act in stop and go traffic? Is it recommended to just pull over and wait for traffic to clear, or is it pretty much "traffic friendly"? Currently I have a Stage 2, but no turbo yet so I don't have to worry about it slipping. After turbo though, sounds like I'll have a little bit of slippage and need to upgrade................again

The Spec Stage 3 clutch is a bit of a pain in trafic. Unless you plan on rolling at least 50 feet, you just pump it. Let it out until it just grabs then push it in. Do that a few times and the car rolls a few feet. Then when you have a big opening, let it out and drive it. It does not like to idle with the clutch engaged. Hope that makes sence.

I just got my new flywheel and spec 3 clutch in the mail. I thought that it was going to be more aggressive and a little larger, If I had known that I would have just bought the stage 5 for 50$ more. No sprung center just have to watch the clutch engagement a little closer.

How over time you get dirt, and water inside the system. When that happens, its not as 100% incompressable, its kind of like flooring it but not having your foot completely off the clutch.

May not be your problem and you will run into problems under severe power but I believe peopel have been in the 13s on a stock clutch. Mine grips ok but I am only at mid 14s. I had problems then I changed out hte bad fluid for goof fluid, my fluid was green/black.

wish I would have found this post a few days ago. I may have taken it a bit easier on my stock clutch at the track last weekend. My clutch didn't survive it's first pass w/boost.

eh nothing to worry about my clutch didn't make it past the its first ever pass ever in the car when it was showroom/paperfilter stock. TRashed my clutch and hydraulic system when it only had 7k miles on the car.
