i just got back from the dyno shop, here are my #'s 282hp and 304tq. I was running about 8psi. My intake temps were about 120 to 150. I have a intercooler that I'm still waiting to put on, so that should lower my temp. alot. I wasn't paying too much attention to my rpm gauge so I was letting off at 5700 rpms. But in 4th gear at 5700 rpms my speed was at 129 mph. So I guess Hptuners too care of my speed limiter. Next time I'll run it up to my cut off of 6200 rpms. Between 3500 rpms and 5000 rpms I was running extremly rich, down in the 10's and 9's. My fisrt run I made 275hp and 289tq, then I tried to lean it up a bit. It still ran down in the 9 1n 10's but I gained 10hp and 15tq. I know there is alot more in it but I'm not to sure about what tables I need to mess with so I just stopped there. The guy at the dyno shop said if I lean it out some more it should be well over 300hp. I was going to post my graph but I don't know how to do it. So if I can email it to someone and they could post it for me that would be great. Also if someone can tell me what tables I need to edit so I can lean it out some more. Thanks Steve

Tuning cars without extensive tuning experience is dangerous business. If you're even asking what tables need to be edited, then you shouldnt be doing it. Not trying to be mean, but it's the truth. You dont want to blow up your car.

I don't understand why you guys can't just give some helpful suggestions but always have to belittle people who don't know as much. For the past few months I've been reading/posting and its kinda gotten silly now. I think you, GN, are really in the know about this stuff and I would love to get advice from you. C'mon, can't we just help each other out? We all have different experiences that we should share so we all don't make the same mistakes. I really agree that tuning is risky without a lot of experience...but answer me this: how do you get experience? Through trial and error. With the proper diagnostic tools such as a wideband O2 and various guages to monitor the engine, slow changes to computer tuning can be a good experience. He just needs to do a lot of reading and research on how to interpret the guages and wideband so as not to damage or harm the engine. If not for anything, please just take this entry for what it is, that I'm not trying to make anyone mad, and just want us to help each other out. Good luck with the tuning guys.

That's awesome numbers Steve. With the intercooler you should see another 30-40 more rwhp.
I don't know much about the tuning part. But guy who did the dyno, doesn't he do dyno tuning as well? He could help you out.
Headers are out of the question now do to Calif emission, but as soon as I get mine intercooled by the middle of this year, I will dyno and see if I'm close to you. Then I move on to GT cam (smog legal) and a 2.7 pulley.

If you guys don't want to give any advice, thats fine. Who knows, maybe I would blow it up. The guy who knows alot about Hptuners wasn't there, the guy who was there only knew about tuning Fords. He gave me the # of the guy, so I'll just give him a call when I go back next week. Thor good luck with yours. Depending on how much boost you want you might try a 2.6" pulley. I was seeing a spike to 10psi at first then stayed at 8psi from 3000 rpms to 5700 rpms.
