You want to change everything when you are loosing an arguement; which I'm not sure what your point is. But if you want to talk V6s, sure. Our 3.8 kit works quite well and is an excellent value. What else do you want to talk about?
wow your turbo kit ran low 14's how is that impressive, ive run a 14.4 with intake and exhast only, just about any non intercooler powerdyne running a messly 6psi can run high 13's (hell a girl can drive a bolt on powerdyne to 13's with 6psi) why cant your kit with a couple more pounds run 13's

I know tiagos mods
when he dynoed I was there,
he was runing race gas,
14-16psi,
open down pipe,
spraying n2o on the intercooler'
just about everything that could be done to get as high a hp number as possible and he only pulled off 340rwhp
and if your money is the one walking then build a 750+hp ls1 stock motor except for valve springs, you seem to think its easy, ohh and if you could pull that off then you would sell a crap load of kits so dont even say its not worth it blah blah
numbers sell kits (atleast to people that know anything about cars), not bench racing
Ohhhh, you are the one who used to date Tiago's better 1/2. That explains a few things.
I would continue to point out where you are wrong but I remember some of my past interactions with you where you were incapable of producing a valid point if someone sold it to you.
While I don't agree with Stefan's opinions, he still has my respect. You? Well, you are quality entertainment.
wheres your turbo kit for the ls1, you said earlyer you sell them, wheres it at
NUMBERS WALK, BUL**** TALKS
yall have no numbers worth talking about, do you get that
i dont hate tiago at all, i hate how he thinks his kit is god when the fastest any of his turbo kits that he has built has only run a messly 13.5
and how he kinda forgets to tell all the details when he does get some kind of a number
had he dynoed with his exhast hooked up he probably would of lost 20rwhp, had he not sprayed on the intercooler he would of been down an easy 20 more 300hp on 14psi with heads is not impressive at all
if he had hit atleast 12's by now I wouldnt say anything bad about his kit its the point that 3.8 kit has been on a car for over a year and the best run to date is like a 14
he has had his kit on his car for over 2 years and the best he has run was a 13.5
those are not impressive times at all
and as i said before said ATI kit (stefans) has run faster then the fastest FFF kit to date period end of story
FFF has yet to publish any good numbers
funny thing is they say how thir turbo is so much better, but they havnt even proved it
am I asking to much, to prove it? is that to hard. Owning a performance company you have to show what your product is capable of and yall have had more then enough time.
mattv6 none of this applies to you, you havnt had a chance to run your car
dyno numbers are what sells man. the rest is up too the friggin drive. i could make a 1000hp car go 14's if you wanted. you have all this nonsense about goign 14.4 in the quarter with ONLY intake and exhaust. so that means nothing else right. completely stock right? stock tires? i think you are bullshting man.
how the hell can you question speed? this guys car hasnt made a complete track pass yet. the thing just keeps breaking the drivetrain. it did dyno over 500rwhp and 600rwt. isnt that good enough for you. what about tiago dynoing his crappy small turbo that is blowing hot air at 16psi, then putting out 340hp and 400 foot pounds. that isnt good enough either? we have had troubles with some of our dyno's and troubles at the track. none hahe been cause by our turbo kits. it has either been other mechanical difficulties or jsut plain driver error.
Originally posted by Arctc Wolf: I have also seen that car, and read all the write-up's on their site for it. The turbo isn't the stock on that comes w/ the kit, it is an upgraded turbo. They swapped on a LS6 intake, which flows a bit better than a normal LS1, but supposedly comes on all 2000+ f-bodies from the factory, can still be considered somewhat stock. Initially, w/o tuning, the upgraded kit made 506 rwhp and 585 rwtq. after tuning, they made 570 rwhp and 665 rwtq w/ 93 and 105 octane mixed 50/50. I'd have wanted 2 see what power gains could be had on just 93 octane fuel, which is what everyday drivers use. after those runs, they swapped in a new set of comp 918 valvesprings and gained a bunch more power.
I understand where ur coming from stefan, but I'm sure that if they just threw on the stock turbo kit on a low mileage motor, the power levels would be close to if not above the procharger and vortec sc kits.
qmp and most other places recommend the ls6 intake cause it holds up too boost better. the composite intake flexs under boost and that leads too lower horsepower and unmetered air coming into hte motor. it jsut happenes too flow better also.
14.4 was on street tires, i drive on them everyday, i dont even have any suspension mods other then sfc's. couple weeks ago i was running 9.2's in the 1/8mile = 14.5-14.6 in the 1/4mile all this with a stock conveter, give me a conveter and I would be low 14's which is the same thing your turbo car has run.
see how not impressive your 3.8 turbo car is
i honestly think its faster then that but im not into bench racing, run a better number then a supercharged 3.8 hell even a powerdyne, shirl has says she runs high 13's on just the powerdyne, but yall havnt even run that
thats where I dont get all your **** talking is coming from, a powerdyne has run a better number on a 3.8 then YOUR turbo kit
PROVE ME WRONG RUN A NUMBER and then you can talk how good your turbo is, you have no good numbers with all your ricer excusses

I've haven't made 1000hp yet but I have driven a 500hp car to 14s lol. At over 120mph! We are working on the 1000hp to the ground issue right now.
I appreciate your comments Matt. Obviously and thankfully, this guy doesn't represent the V6 community. Like I said though, he is most entertaining!

just run a number
I think you are lying. I don't think you ever ran a 14.4. And the my car ran this in the 1/8th so it should run this in the 1/4 and if I ran with a converter I would run low 14s ricer bench racing excuses are great! Show me an impressive number. 14.4? Low 14s if you had a converter. woooooooo. We ran a low 14 with a dead clutch. So you are saying we are beating you even with a dead clutch? lol!
everyones cars has gremlins when it is first built. tiago's car is pretty much straightened out now, but he still has a hybrid on it. speeds car had no motor last i heard, but that was a while ago from the dyno. stefans setup has been on for a few years. james has been juicing for a while. shirls car has been done for a while. and then you get too my car and the other fff cars. most with the exception of tiago and myself are college students on a limited budget. radcat doesnt have tons of money too dyno everyday like we can afford. and when the gremlins arise on a new, never been tested setup, that crap happens. it is that way with everything. that is why it is nonsense too compare a few cars that have recently been build with no supporting mods too cars that have been tested for a while and have tons of tuning/testing hours under there belts. i dont expect my car too be anything crazy at the track or the dyno the first YEAR that i have it. i am doing something that hasnt really been done yet. i am basically trying too break new ground that will fall back on the v6 community. but so far all i have heard is people TRY too prove me wrong. saying crap about how my turbo is too big and saying that it will surge. I AM DRIVING THE FUKIN CAR RIGHT NOW MAKING 18PSI!!!! this is all on pump gas!!!! the car is driven home everynight. and driven too work every day. the only reason that i havent turned the boost up higher is cause i need too run 2 blow off valves now cause the one i have doesnt let out enough air when i let off the gas. then the thing surges like hell and blows intake pipes off.
ill video tape my first run and hopefully i will go better then a 13flat. but if i dont will you guys mock me cause i am goign that fast with a stupid large turbo and built up car? i hope like hell not.
I don't know alot about turboing a car, but 340hp and 400lbft was quite a good number for a 3.4. Taking a 16 sec car and making it a solid 13 sec car is quite impressive. Just my .02

fact is noone was knocking specificallly someone here or there in teh beginning of this thread, until Dronea p boy had to come in and start personal attacks once again! It wAS ure talk about SCs and Turbos but now it has turned into a STEFAN/SHIRL SC against Tiago simply put. WTF.
Worst PArt is that I have nothing to do with your issues. if you don't like it don't buy it. Hell I woudl'nt sell you anything if you wanted anyway.
hey speed check the timeslip page under n/a 3.8 number 9 thats me.
If you think I am bull****ing even more ill be more then happy to scan my slip.
matt everyone has problems getting their cars straitened out but when people come here talk **** about how superchagers suck and that their turbo kit is better, when in reality a non-intercooler supercharged car has run faster then your turbo car and your talking ****. Dosnt make a whole lot of sense. and when your turbo car has run .4 faster then a n/a car, not that impressive, especilly not impressive for them to come here and talk **** about superchargers and other kits
how is it personal im sorry its your company that the 3.8 turbo car was built from and you cant even break into the 13's with it, but you bench race saying how much better it is then a supercharger, prove it before you talk **** atleast run a number gezzz theres isnt one thing personal.
I think its funny your trying to sell a turbo kit off of the only car that has it hasnt broke 13's do you see the humor in that, people make fun of powerdynes for running high 13's on 6psi, while you cant even break 13's i fail to see how your turbo kit is better, you have no results
who has said supercharges suck? i dont have anything against them. i jsut think that i like turbos better and that is what i push when i build customers stuff. right now i have a mustang that has a YSi trim vortech on it. he wants too go faster so i am yanking that bloer out and running a t88 bigframe on it. i bet that modALONE will put the car well into the 8's, and with a properly designed cam it will be streetable also.
