• I guess I jumped in on this late, but my turbo did a 14.3, misfiring, with no intercooler and tuning.

On 7 psi, this dropped my 15.7 N/A best down 1.5 seconds. I know the car had a lot more in it, especially when it was running better, but I never got proven times out of it. Several stock LS1's were run down from both stops and rolls.

There statements are kind of ironic coming from Stefan, who always seems so hush hush about his own personal times and numbers, yet still strives to overall enhance V6 performance on this site. Seems counterproductive to me.

      Shane 12.69 @ 106 at 8psi, A4/Converter

That's pretty good. Except for Shane, we got a couple of PD running those times and they don't have intercoolers and they also have issues.

I really do think that we should lock this trend now. It is useless and hopeless to discuss it even further. It's just another Turbo vs. Supercharger topic again for the million times now.

All this bickering is just none-sense. This is why back then I felt that the two force induction should be separated because of something like this.

Sorry, I searched for the times quickly. I fixed my post.

No it won't. It's too bad that there cannot be any scientific test to settle once and for all which setup is 'better'. Besides the fact that 'better' has no scientific meaning, nobody on here can even do a comparison to see what setups produce the most power. It's not like anybody is going to buy 3 identical cars, put a Powerdyne on one, Procharger on the second, and a Turbo on the third and take them all to the same track on he same day. We may not have to do that if we had a representative sample of cars running each setup (which I believe Gauss showed to be 30). We have a whole 3 running turbo 3.8L's on the site now... a few Prochargers, and more Powerdyne users.

            • I never see any turbo peeps starting threads to put down SCs. Why do SC peeps start threads to put down the turbo peeps? Maybe they feel threatened

              • No, because the turbo guys can just use the SC threads to slam the SC guys.

                    • this hole thread is nothing but a big sh*t throwing contest! when i had my v6 and was on this board it used to be "yea man whatever brings more attention to the v6 community" " we support anyone trying to build parts we have no aftermarket" now you look like a bunch of 3 year olds argueing over who brought the best show and tell.

don't flame people who are trying to better YOUR car community! Expecially if all your doing is sitting around complaining

                        Arctc Wolf is correct.

I didn't think this thread would turn into this amount of mudslinging bull****.

Turbo fans do not need to. They just dog superchargers in every other supercharger thread out there. That is why I started this thread.

Everyone: Please re-read my original post. It was a reminder that turbos or superchargers are EQUAL--any advantage of one over the other depends on setup, goals, methods used, etc. Turbos are not necessarily better than superchargers and vice versa.

But apparently, some turbo owners can't accept that. They believe that turbos are all-supreme and are always better than superchargers. Riiiiight.

I haven't seen any supercharger owners ever say "superchargers are better than turbos". Yet I do see turbo owners say "turbos are better than superchargers". Either statement is just flat out wrong. Deal with it.

Put down some numbers and say "my setup is better than yours", fine, but don't say turbos or supers are better. And especially if you don't have numbers, don't go talking ****. That, by definition, is bench racing.
