I am about to get a clutch for the car. I was looking at both clutchs and I know the street manners of the Stage 5 are aggressive. Im not sure if the stage 3 will hold the power I plan on making.
I plan on at least 350RWHP and 425TQ
They say the stage 3 is good for 475 TQ
with the power loss through the Drive line the Crank HP is 402 and the TQ is 488.
I just dont want to burn up the Spec 3 and have to go back and upgrade.
So,
Buy the Spec 3 or 5

Get the three, it's still a sprung hub, but it's pucked. It's what I run, and you can't tell the difference in the let out, but it holds like a mofo. (and yes I know that it's in there, I installed it myself).

So you think the 3 will hold 550tq?

Wicked is right about the sprung hub, IMO. It's good for drivability. You can drive a stage 5 (no springs) day to day and be alright, but i certainly wouldn't want my only form of transportation to be a chattery, finicky, stage 5 clutch car.

Thats cool,
I guess I will go with the spec 3. Who has the Best price?

i drive on a stage 5 every day, the best part i like is I only have to push my clutch in about 1- 1 1/2 inches to disengauage it.....
the first 500 miles are a *****, but once you leaner how to only push it in the little bit and learn how to let it out REALLY SLOW, cuase once it crabs your gone, no time to ask anything your just gone.....
blah chatter is over rated i think.... it only does every once in a while and if it does let it off and then bring it back stops it....
the only thing about the stage 5 i don't like is that it use's a IRON disk.... so it squeaks sometimes and poeple look at me like i'm doin a 1000 rpm burn-out lol, and it sound like you chirp your tires in 1-3 gears in the city
now then
if you are toping out every gear it doe not suqeak and just holds.....
I will buy another stage 5 when this one is done for........
if you like to have lots of room to feather and take off don't get this.... how ever if you only want to set your heel down and never have to move your knee again to change gears this clutch is for you....
