I keep changing my mind on twin or single turbo now im thing big single in the back of the engin since we have figured its to hard to mont up front and you can fit 2 in the back why cant you fit one big one duh will be exploring this tommorw

I got a question while where talkin abour no 3.8 turbos, Theres a kid at my school who just got a 89 trans am, its supposally compleatly stock and he bought it from a guy who works at a pontiac dealer ship. well its 3.8 v6 turboed. He says its a stock turbo and that they made turboed v6 trans am's. If this is true, is there a way to make them fit our cars?

In 89, there was the turbo trans am....different 3.8 though and a lot more room under the hood.

Yeah there was a V-6 turbo Trans Am. In fact I know a guy that went 13.80 all stock with just a set of slicks. The hole thing is its just like the Buick GN motor in many ways. The only real difference is the heads. They are a little different so they would fit in between the fender wells of the F-body. But even though there was a F-body that had a turbo since it was on a different generation and like it was said by daWhoady there was more room. So to do a turbo set up on our car it would require custom work. Which isn't really bad IF you know someone who can help you out with the fabrication.
