  • supercharger + super six = how much RWHP??

    hi,
quick question.....whenever this supercharger setup is released ill be one of the first to buy one....would it be worth it to buy the supersix or GM powerpack for our cars....along with porting and polishing the intake and such...what kind of RWHP do you think would come of this?? would it be mindblowing? also whats up with this supercharger setup? is the one that everyone is talkiong about on this board better? this supercharger better?

    thanks eddie

looking at RPMs site ther procharger for the v6 rustang made 345hp they say on 11lbs and an automatic with the 11lb setup ran a 13.3 so that should mean we will be running 12's easy lol heheh

heads and cam i say could run a mid 12 with 10 lbs

i'm looking to do the same thing and my mechanic told me that if you're running forced induction the air is getting forced in to the engine, so the ssm powerpack would be a waste of money. he said it would make a little bit of difference, but not 2 grand worth.

your mechanic is dumb get a new mechanic he dosnt know jack

the more air your heads can flow the more power you can make if your heads can flow i am sure 30hp diffrence can be seen atleast matched with a better cam even more power 1500 for heads and cam is cheap

          get a new mechanic

Jason is right...I would get a new mechanic really quick. He either has rocks for brains or he just rather talk you out of getting something that he has no clue how to install.

Btw guys... i was sure that ad
              http://www.rpmoutlet.com/atifbodyv6.htm
used to say April 2002 and used to show the P600B.

It now shows the P1SC and it has additional costs. Bill told me he already talked to ATI... just wondering if thats why they have prices there. They got the year wrong though.

I talked to RPM Outlet a couple months ago about this whole deal, and I'll tell you, George doesn't really know what he's talking about. I ordered the HPP3 from him in Feb., he told me in was on back order and that it would be a week. Then that week turned into two weeks, then a month, then I just called him and he said that Hypertech was still running field tests on the unit. George like to advertise products before they're out, and actually let you buy them (charge your CC) when he doesn't have any idea when they will be released. I wouldn't mess with him. I finally just cancelled the order and ordered directly through Hypertech for $400. The Supercharger is the same deal.

Dominic posted a thread about Magnus' car if he strapped the procharger w/ 10lbs of boost on. I think it showed he would be making around 400rwhp. So ya, the gains from heads/cam are almost doubled when combined with forced induction.

I've always wondered if our cars would need new gears and a new transmission with that kind of power. I have 3.08's and not even posi, if I got one of those things I dunno how well my setup would handle it.

Since when does GM make a powerpack for the 3.8? I want one!

The mechanic is making some sense. THere will be significnt gains, but I think the mechanic is saying not $2,000 worth.

With the cam, you might want ot go with something a little more designed for a car with a supercharger on it, to get maximum output.
