well i pretty sure that i am the proud new owner (sale pendind currently) of superv6bird's old powerdyne. What else do i need besides waht is included and what all has to be modified to fit my 99?
I did do a search but didnt come up with much help.

Anyway, people here have adapted angled TB to straight and vice versa. You can do several things. You can either cut the discharge tube right after its curve and put a flex rubber tube to connect it back to each other. Vortech and Powerdyne does sell them and other turbo shops out there. Or, you can take it to a machine shop and have them do it. It would be the best choice.
Checkout Grayman's site and see how other have done their's.

i have done this several times..works great..and adds a little color
id get a boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, and maybe a wide band O2..if you're going to run at 9 psi id get an aftermarket fuel pump and maybe injectors..at that level you're also going to want to more closely watch the timing..and PREMIUM FUEL ONLY..even on 6 psi..id also get a set of NGK TR6 plugs and gap them at .035
Ive also heard headers and such are needed, are my mods enough already?
I dont want to do this wrong or mess up my engine... NOTE: im not installing it, it is being professionally done, but i want to get it done right hte first time.
Thanks Guys!

since you have a 99 (pre tubular manifolds) headers wouldnt be a bad idea but are by no means a requirement. I just cringe at the thought of taking off the old rusty bolts on the stock manifolds because often times they break causing a major headache. Also this is an extremely easy install, If you know anything about tools you can install it in a few hours no problem. Save the money. You will need to change your sparkplugs to cooler temp plugs like copper or iridium and do this http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/TB-PCV.htm .

ok 99vcamaro,
this is the honest truth and the most important thing I will ever tell you....install it yourself. If you can not install it yourself you can not maintain it. you will not know what is going on if it gets goofy. you will not know what size belt to order if it breaks. it will cost you A BUNCH of money to have a shop do all the little mods that go along with running the powerdyne correctly.
You will need to tighten the belt often at first and then less and less often as time goes by. Trust me...you want to know what is going on with your new custom forced induction engine and the best way to do that is to be in charge of it...from begining to end. The cost of install vs tools is a no brainer. tools cast far less than shop time.
You also do not need to install it all at once. the final day is when you actuall put the blower on but there are several other mods (and parts you will need to buy) in the mean time. most all of the supporting mods can be done before hand and the car will still run perfectly in the meantime.
the first half of the page has some info and guides for things like gauge installs. the second half of the page is all powerdyne stuff.
to answer one of your questions...plan on a Fuel Prssure gauge and a Boost gauge. you don't need a narrow band fuel ratio gauge because your fuel pressure gauge will show that the FMU is working under boost and the boost gauge will show that the engine is under boost. you don't need to spend big money on a wideband o2 gauge to run 6psi. there are other expenses related to the wideband 02....like big money for tuning software to do something with all the data you collect from the wideband...and a laptop computer...etc. So suggest starting with 6psi and then move up if you want in the future.
goodluck.

Ok thanks. Ive read your whole site and it was a huge help! I am confident i can do it i just didnt want to **** anything up but you have insipired me to do it myslef.
So this is my list of things i need/to do:
NGK-TR6 plugs to .035 gap --shop install
Shorter Belt -- ill install
3 pod pillar -- ill install
Fuel Pressure Gauge -- ill install
Boost gauge -- ill install
Valve Cover breather -- ill install
The whole kit -- ill install and adapt
fuel pump -- shop
fuel injectors -- shop
does that seem like everything?
Headers are coming soon but i dont think i want to shell out too much money at one time.

as for your list. the consensus you will hear from me and everyone else is to start with the 6psi set up. (stock 3.12" pulley that comes with the rksport kit) you won't be wasting any money by doing the 6psi first and then moving up. if you try and do too much at once then just think for a moment what your posted questions might be like...everyone will be wondering about your injectors and software tune...etc...talk about a nightmare. But...many or us know EXACTLY what a 6psi set up is like and how it should behave. So we get that up and running first and THEN move up to a smaller pulley. ok?
So, with that said...the 105" belt that comes with the rksport kit will work with the JohnDwrap so you don't have to buy a new one yet...unless the one you get is old. if you really want a new belt then I think 103.5 will work with the stock pulley and the johnD wrap. (as well as smaller pulley if you change in the future)
so wait on the injectors until you get the 6psi up and running...besides...i did not see hptuners ($400) on your list nor a wide band gauge ($500) either. I think you want headers before you get all that stuff becuase headers will help unleash the beast.
as for the fuel pump...I am either way on that. It can't hurt and it is a good idea to have a good strong fuel pump for 6psi or higher. The pump install is not that hard. Have you read the guide for cutting a whole in the trunk? no big deal. hassle free fuel pump installs once you do it. otherwise it is quite a bit of laboe. you can even use a 3/8 drill and a cut off wheel. easy cheesy...just be carefull and don't cut too deep all al once. add some rustoleum and a metal plate and everything is all good to go.
i can't blame you for the spark plugs. nothing but horror stories concering the log manifolds and spark plugs. yuk.
your car will haul some serious *** at even 6psi. :D

Ok that is a good idea i never thought of that, i will wait on the 9lb and just have the shop install plugs. This should be an adventure! I will most likly buy a new belt since the kit is used so it would make sense.
Ill wait on the fuel pump and injectors.. maybe the fuel pump since my car has almost 110,000 miles.

i agree..i would definitely start at 6 psi..just spend a few bucks on a pulley puller and when you're ready to move up to 9 psi in the future you can just swap the pulleys yourself..6 psi worked great for me..and i wasnt even using an FMU or timing retard module (NOT that i am recommending this)..when i went to 9 psi i was getting misfires..that was on premium fuel and an MSD pump..so it was either my injectors locking up or the timing was too advanced
at 110,000 miles you might want a good strong fresh fuel pump.
I recommend NOT installing the crane timing retard module when running 6psi as well. I also agree to only using premium fuel. I also recommend spending the 30 or so bucks to integrate your stock airbox into the blower intake. it works great and looks good too. and you wont risk water in the cone filter.

99v6camaro...
maybe you should ask superv6 what all he did when he ran with the 9lb pulley. what changes did he make to the system, if any...and how did it perform, etc.
