How long is this going to take? I will be in town for about a day, is this enough? I am probably average when it comes to mechanics... i have only installed my intake stuff. I was trying to have a whole weekend but its not working out so can a friend and i do it in a day?

If I were to guess I would say about 3-4 days, it took mee 4 days to install the supercharg, headers, and gauges

I installed my Powerdyne in about 4 hours. Could do it alot faster now. Headers were a day and a half. Gauges about two hours to do it right. 3 in a A pillar pod.

Do you have to have headers with a powerdyne?

if you do it in 3 hours then you are doing it wrong.

guages, fuel lines for fuel pressure sender/fmu, routing vac lines, tb pcv plug, oil presure sender elbow, john d wrap (filing down oil filter elbow) and more.

all of the above can be done ahead of time and it will not mess up your car. If the things i mentioned above are new to you...then....http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/guide.htm

don't put a time limit on converting your naturaly aspirated engine to forced induction. there is a lot more involved to this than just mounting the powerdyne head unit.

oh yea...replacing your spark plugs will take some time as well with your log manifolds. do all this stuff ahead of time and THEN it will take 3 hours to put the head unit in....pulley puller...figuring out what spacers go where...getting the blower unit down in the engine bay fighting with the ac lines...torqueing it down and then tightning the belt.

if you don't do all the related things ahead of time then you willmost likely be making several runs to part store more misc tings like pulley puller, teflon thread tape, vac t's, tb gasket...etc.

you can do everything ahead of time. tb pcv plug with valve cover breater, john d wrap prep, vac lines for boost gauage and fmu, you can even install fmu now, oil pressure sender elbow, you can even do spark plugs ahead of time. the more you do now the less stress when you actually put the blower on. you will have had time to see that your new vac lines are not leaking, etc.

nothing goofy should be going on with theengine when you install the blower...make sure it is running fine before tackling this project. when the blower is on the car the only difference you will notice is that the main serpentine belt (might) cause squeeking from the AC compressor when the car is idling and the AC is on. other than that you will not notice anything odd about your new forced induction car...other than the fact that it has A LOT MORE POWER when you punch it...

are you refering to the AC belt chirp? if so then yes and also 'it depends.' some people have louder AC chirping at idle than others. (again...this is only when the AC is on) It is sometimes loud enough and anoying enough that I turn off AC at stop lights.

If you are refering to noise from the supercharger itself...no, it basicaly does not make noise. If you hear it at all it is only because YOU know what to listen for. Other people in and outside of the car will not hear it. the powerdyne is virtually no noise.
