  • mixture for methanol injection

Looks like I'm going to go with a methanol injection kit. Whats the best mixture? I think I'm going to use denatured alcohol since I can pick it by the gallon. I was thinking 40% alcohol and 60% water. What do you think?

So odd that I came here looking for some methanol injection information on the board.

I was talking with some guys after AutoFair last nite and our tuner has used a mixture of 75% alcohol. I guess it all depends on the tune as to what percentage you use.

I'm interested enough at looking at kits that maybe someone should try to get a quote on a small group purchase. I know I've seen a few posts pop up lately, but not sure how many guys in here are interested in trying the kit?

This same tuner was skeptical of the gains at first, but after tuning 30+ cars with the injuection, he is SOLD on the performance gains.

The cheap blue winshield washer fluid (-20 F) is a mixture of methanol, water, and a little bit of blue dye. I'd start with that.

P.S. The "devil's own" MAP based injection kit seems like a great approach.

Blue water, 50/50 or pure meth are what most people use

Yeah, most people use 50/50. Be sure the water is distilled. Regular water then to leave minerals.
