Crazy turbo idea

I am kinda new with the whole turbo and sc thing. So if this makes absolotly no sence I apologize.

Ok here is a crazy question. Could you take a turbo charger cut it in half and turn it into a sc. Keeping in mind new mounting brackets and sc pulley. I don't know much about this but I was just curious since you can pick up turbos for cheap. Is this possible, has it been done, is it worth doing or just a crappy idea?

Its called a powerdyne.

Lots of precision machining of pieces. Gears, lubrication.

If you just mounted a pulley to the shaft of a turbo you would never get any boost at all.

Crank turns at 6KRPM, compressor needs to spin at up to 150K.

this is what the inside of a supercharger looks like.

the big gear on the left is spun from the pulley that runs off of the crank driven serpentine belt.
the small gear is what spins the turbine.
that is one helluva ratio of gears they got going there.

safety (and durability) is an issue when things spin 40,000 rpm as well.
