Will a Eaton supercharger off of a Buick 3800 engine (also fits a pontiac) fit in my 1996 3800 camaro? It says it will fit all 3800 GM models from 92-96 but i dont know to trust it.

This question comes up a lot.
MODS - Maybe some sort of sticky should be created for it...
myV6beatsyours - The intake doesn't have injector holes. You would need the other heads, because that's where the injectors go with that setup. The heads and intake and blower would bolt up to your block, if you switched all of it over....
But when you got done, the pulley would be in the front, and the opening for the throttle body would be in the back... There's where the main problem comes in.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

i've looked into this, like john d said the pulley would be at the front and the intake at the back. way back under that edge covering the back of your engine to make it work you would have to duct your intake all the way back there work in your throttle body.
IMO ducting over or around the engine would heat up air before it even got to that supercharger and then that style of charger would heat the air up so much more it wouldn't be worth all the time, money, etc. there is a supercharger for the corvette that solved this problem by putting a shaft on the side of the housing so the pulley and the intake were both on the front. vette charger if you could make a shaft that could be mounted on the side or the charger AND could handle all that stress (VERY high RPMs)AND could get the charger mounted backwards and everything to fit.
Again, IMO, a centrifugal super or turbo is better than the M90 (I think thats the model you have.) or any other roots-style charger. Mounting on the engine makes intercooling harder as well instead of a cheap and easy air to air you have to put an air to water IC between the charger and intake manifold which takes more of that space above the engine.
To sum things up, nothing is impossible, but I can't stress how hard it would be to rig it all up and get any kind of gain when compared to the money you could put into tried and true upgrades.2002 Firebird.
