You can probably add this one to the "dumb question" list, but it will make my life easier knowing. I just purchased a sandwich adapter for adding an oil cooler to the car. It screws onto the existing filter block, then you screw the filter onto the adapter. I plan on using the supply port for the feed to the turbo, but there is a return port also. I've been told that the turbo needs a non-pressurized area for return...(oil pan). Question is, why couldn't I just use the return port on the adapter. I'm sure there is positive flow through both ports, otherwise it wouldn't work for an oil cooler. This would make things sooooooo much easier not having to tap the pan. I would think as long as the turbo is getting positive oil circulation it should be sufficient using this route. Any feedback, or reccomendations? The only bad thing is having to pay for all that 9/16" steel braided line. Probably a total of 20'.....$$$$$!
