  • Getting the racing rebuild done

The small bearing went to crap and sent some metal pieces every where. Then the larger bearing went to crap, and I think the small bearing on the back side took a dump. So I decide to send it to 928 and have them fix it up with their racing rebuild. I hope with these 60,000 rpm max bearings it will last awhile. I'll let you know the results.

Sorry to hear that. But your SC held out pretty good. I'm impress with the 2.25 and 2.6 pulley it took with no problem.

I was told that it's better to replace them all at the same time. Instead of just one or two. This way, they are all balance.

I was going to replace 2 of the bearings that are easily replaceable, but decided to go for all 4. I'm glad I did. It gave me some peace of mind.

I can't wait though to see what a race built PD will do for you. I think it's going to be awesome. I want to have mine done too but I'll wait till I wear it out some more.

        Definately keep us updated.

It surprised me that the bearing came apart like it did. I've been running it pretty hard for awhile so I guess I have been pretty lucky. I hope that with the new bearings the boost won't drop like it did and stay up around 10-11 psi. Who knows I might be able to run the 2.25" pulley when its done.
