I've been working quietly on a project to make either the Voretch V1 or the Paxton NOVI-1000 fit in our cars. I believe it will be practical to make it run off the same serpentine belt as everything else. The pulley will be situated between and below the water pump and the belt tensioner and the head unit will be on the forward side of the belt. It will be a reverse rotating unit that uses the ribs of the belt. The bracket will be made from 6061-T6 or 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum. As soon as I have made the first one and I know it fits well, I will begin producing copies for sale. I will not produce a kit, just the bracket for the head unit. The rest, including oiling, air filtration, pulley diameter size (which ultimately controls boost), intercooling, fuel control and programming will be up to the installer as they see fit for their application. This is for those who want to do things their way and don't want to buy an off-the-shelf kit. If you want something all inclusive, I suggest using Batman's kit because I'm sure it will be excellent. If you want to do some of the work yourself at considerable savings, these brackets will be available sometime in the spring. I would like some feedback on how many would be interested and which head unit would be prefered (Vortech or Paxton)

Looks like Vortech is the popular choice. Now I need to decide to prototype using either the V-1 or V-2. I'm leaning toward the V-2 SQ CCR straight discharge model because of the "quiet" feature. I look forward to the first time pulling up to a redlight in my inconspicuous sleeper V6 when a Mustang GT pulls up and I give the driver the suprise of his life. I plan on deciding and making my purchase of the head unit by the end of the month, making a wood model of my bracketry, testing the fit, then finding a machine shop to replicate it in T6 aluminum. Since I will not be selling the head unit, I think it would be helpful to anyone interested in this idea to research the best vendor for the head unit. Shared information will serve us all.180 Thermo, K&N Filter, Transgo stage 2, Pacesetters, Magnaflow cat, Flowmaster Catback, 3.42 LSD, Hotchkis LCA/Panhard, Bilstein, Eibach Pro, 1LE bars, SP crossdrilled/slotted rotors.

Vortech Project 1.0 failed.
Vortech Project 2.0 in the works
