Starting in 2004 the monte carlo SS & impala SS will both receive the L67 (supercharged 3.8L V6 engine) found on the pontiac gtp's. There won't be any clearance issues b/c grandprix's & monte carlos & impala are essentially the same car, built off the same platform, but only w/ different body structures.

If they're priced the same as gtp's or even cheaper, they will still be a good deal, b/c that 240hp comes w/ 280tq. Plus a simple $70 pulley swap will net you 20hp/30tq easily. 13 sec. timeslips are only a few modds away.

We'll i guess everyone's entitled to there opinion. So i'll give you mine. I prefer roots type blowers over centrifugal blowers, b/c root-blowers make more lowend torque & hp. Centrifugal blowers make more topend power & rob less hp, but you have to get to the top of your powerband to make the most out of your boost. JMO. Now if the centrifugal sc came w/ an intercooler like many of the vortech & ati's than that would be ideal, but then again there are aftermarket intercoolers for my M90, they just aren't cheap.
