• times possible with 9 psi and a few other mods?

ok after i get the turbo plans begun and finished, i wonder approx what times i would see, so far im guessing a max of 13.8 on the m5

9 psi turbo charged - 13.8 is my guess
add gears and lsd - 13.6
prepare for heads, cam and rockers with fuel - 13.4 MAX if your having problems with fuel
super six - i want to say 12's but i dont know what do you guys think?

fuel, fully built top end, 9 psi, gears and lsd

i would LOVE to see 12's with 9 psi, because there are not a whole lot of cars that can say that

oh yea what you think the hp and tq would be? i have no clue as to this but i think the hp would be near 350 or higher, if the six pack can get you 40 and then you add 9 psi ( lets say 10 hp per pound ) thats 130 hp added to a stock 200 thats around 330 hp Not bad if you ask me!

considering its a turbo and wouldnt rob power to make power.. 12's could be very possible on 9psi.. if you can stick the launch and nail the shifts at the perfect time..

Unless you are going to have it guzzle nitrous too i doubt it. Does anyone realize these cars we own are slugs. They are possible of 12's and under if you pay to have an LT1 LS1 or wanna get expensive LS6 dropped into it. I started with my car and 40 some thousand with a dream. Well its safe to say im selling it for a Mustang 5.0 that is already running 13.30's with stock intake heads and only 6lbs of boost. Sorry guys these car we own are soo hard to find parts for and to find anyone to machine anything. And they definitely cost too much to make fast.

Me thinks so too...don't you realize these 3.8's we have have a lot of potential? I would say you could probably run 12's on that setup. If all your going to run is 9psi there should be no need for nitrous, because you can use a small, quick spooling turbo. As for my turbo project...I'll need a big turbo and a little nitrous ;)

i'd say about 325+ hp from the turbo if sized correctly, maybe 350+ tq. 12's are more realistic on a turbo than a sc since u have less parasitic loss. w/ a turbo, expect mid to high 13's, gears and lsd, low 13's. heads/turbo cam or a higher stall converter, high 12's. good things to look at would be wider tires for the rear, adjustable lca's and/or lca relocation brackets, and a 1LE swaybar pkg. for better traction off the line. might take off a few 1/10's.

That guy is buying a mustang? Interesting. Even with 7 or 8 pounds of boost those cars are not even faster than an Ls1. The aftermarket for our motors is HUGE. Easy as hell to get a six into the 12's or better.

thanks guys took a while for people to respond i though the thread had died, oh well

so good others see 12's possible also??

and mr troll.. if you had 40 grand put into your v6 id run singles PERIOD, this engine has mass amounts of potential if you can send a eco tec 4 banger into the 13's with a turbo you can send this engine to the 12's Easily and then Lighten the car up a few hundered pounds and hit lower times, slicks the works? i wont stop till i get the after market for my car to increase, i WIll get the manufactureres to look at this engine and do a little bit about it

I'm pretty sure that high 12's are possiable with 9 if not 10psi. Just have to make sure that you get some traction.

yes, all the power in the world ain't worth crap if u don't have the traction.

If it was easy as hell to get our cars into the 12's don't you think there'd be more than just a handful of people there? Dude, I gave you the advice to lay low and read up before because everytime you post you look dumber and dumber. Our aftermarket is NOT huge. It's quite limited in fact. Please just read up before you open your mouth.

Parasitic lost on a SC is not that much compare to the gain. I would guestimate around 3-5 hp lost. I mean it doesn't take a whole lot of hp to spin that pulley. Alot less lost with the PD.

An intercooled 9psi Turbo can get you into high 12 definately. Ed's PD ran 9 psi and he calculated 330 hp at the fly. With the intercooler and turbo I would guestimate again that it might be 370 hp. Turbo is just awesome.
