• Oil/Water-cooled Turbo: Oil Cooler necessary?

Thoughts? Tiago, Formula, other guys running turbos are you using one? Are your oil temps insane?

    Please feedback

I do run an oil cooler and I recommend that you do also.

How does return drain work for the coolant lines? I know your turbo is mounted pretty downlow in the engine bay as well. Mine are mounted on both sides of the oil pan.

      Please advise me

I put the turbo on w/o a oil cooler 1st. It was last march and in 80-90 degree temps my oil temp gage would climb to 240 if I was sitting still. I then hooked up the water coolant lines to the turbo but that didn't help much. Then I added a perma-cool oil cooler from summit w/ a fan on it for sitting in traffic and the temps during the summer don't get above 210 sitting, and while driving they stay below 180.
