  • question for tiago

Ok by the end of September or Oct I will purchase your turbo. I want to run at 7psi. Now, that being said I have rk sport headers, ram air, msd wires, borla cat back, whisper lid and K&N filter, air temp module. Is there anything else I need to prepare my camaro 01. Two more questions My camaro is daily driven at 7psi would it harm the engine. Next what is your best offer. Thank you

You'll need to have the headers reworked to be able to use the kit. They were designed for the 00+ to use the stock manifolds.

7psi should be fine on your engine. As to "harming" it, it WILL lower the life of your engine. It is more up to your driving and your engine as to wether the turbo breaks it or not.

I have been running 8-10psi for a year now. For about a month I was running 14psi.

the headers don't neeed to be reworked, the y pipe from the kit will need to be reworked though. Or jsut swap the stock manifolds back in. Up to you.

when I bought the headers it came with a performance y pipe. How about the price on the turbo

In Cali, they'd fail you on the visual, but even if they didn't, there's no provision in the kit to allow it to connect to your cat anyway.

Your "performance" y-pipe will still need to be altered to fit the kit.

Some of you may already know that I failed smog. Even with the SC off. This guy I know from a gas station passed me illegally by overlooking my mods. I pass the sniffer, barely. But it won't pass if I have the SC on. Eventhough PD is legal and documented, still a big problem.

But I'm sure you can remove the turbo and put back the stock Y-pipe on. To make it look more OEM. Oh, yeah aftermarket headers are a big no, no. Stock ones should be ok, with this system.

                            Isn't that right, Taigo?

Ive never had to pass yet but if you gottta do it, just remove it and install the stock y pipe back on, or go somewhere "friendlier" ;)
