First off Ive already done a search..... My powerdyne will be here tomorrow. All Im getting is the supercharger and whatever things come with it. I dont have money for any boostapumps or stuff right now. Heres my questions.....1- Is it safe to run the 6lb kit just the way it comes? 2- They say its bolt on.....Can the average guy who can barely install FTRA do it themself? 3- Can you please list everything that you can possibly think of that I should get to keep my unit as reliable as possible ( I plan to buy these things asap so if possible give links please)? 4-Should I install the unit and then add the suggested items peice by peice or wait the 6 months it will take me to afford these items and have it all installed at once? 5- I have a friend who is a certified mechanic but is now in the Army. He has installed many superchargers and always seems to know what he's talking about, especially chevy's. He says he will install it for $150 and a couple of cold ones as long as I help. Should I let him do it or let someone who will charge 5-8 times more but give me a warranty on the install?

I would take it to a mechanic! If something goes wrong down the road, it will be easier to chew out someone you don't know and have the problem fixed. Just my .02

Well I talked to the professional induction guy. He had previously quoted me 600-800$$$ over the phone for a charger install at a minimum. He told me to bring it buy and he would give me the officcial price . So I brought it buy and he looked at the complete system and said he was sorry for what he said on the phone. This is his quote. Most people bring chargers to me that need oil lines and all types of pipeing done, usually there also gear driven wich is a real PITA and takes me 8-12 hours to do. I can do this one in 3-5 hours and Ill charge you 350$$$ to do it. I was like hell yea Ill bring it monday and he said sounds good. I know this guy is good cuz all he dose is induction/cams and one other thind I forget. Plus he just got back from the mainland were he was working on stock cars...YESSSSSSS!

Where did you get the kit? If it was from RkSport I got the same kit and i got a crane cams timing retard. Did you look extensively through the foam. I dont think i did. I dont think i got a fuel regulator not sure if i was suppost to. Ehh well. Hey a friend of mine that works at GM Giant is putting mine on for a trade i gave him a washer and dryer. Hehe. You gotta ask yourself if you trust him. I do because he has a mustng 5.0 that he charged himself and has no problems with it. He drives it everyday. If I sell my car I will be buying his mustang that right now runs 13.30 ET's. But he has stock intake and only 6lbs of boost hehe.

If you got yours from RKSports then you should have everything. You don't really need Boost a Pump or larger pump for a 6 lbs PD. FMU should be sufficient. Unless later down in the road you put on more mods.

Install is should be relatively easy, except I don't know how to do the boost retardant thing and gauges. Yeah always go with a professional to be in a safe side.
