• In line fuel pump

I am going to install my turbo kit myself, so can someone send me pics of where the inline fuel pump goes and hwo it is set up and what not. Just all that kind of stuff would really be help full, even where you have the FMU, all this kind of stuff would be really useful.

Hey, that's cool. Did you get FFF?

Just to warn you, Inline fuel pump is loud.

Just a suggestion. I have mine wired up on a switch that is vacuum connected to the fmu. When the fmu detects boost and activates it trips the switch and turns on the inline pump. Fuel pressure is good and since the pump only comes on under load you never hear it. I'm going to hook up an led above my boost guage so i nkow it's still working

I am dumb about wiring, but i am going to have a friend who is good at it help me, you don't have a wirig diagram you could make for me on how to do that could you? Cause that sound like a really damn good idea.

Wiring diagram no, sorry :( . But the pump will have two connections on it, a power and a ground. Run the ground to the frame and run a long wire off the power up to the engine bay.

My FMU came with the switch, but i'm sure you can find a vacuum actuated switch at Autozone or something. Run the power wire from the pump to the power wire of the switch and run a ground from the switch to the frame.

Hook a vacuum line from the switch to the FMU and t that off the intake line and you're golden.

To run an LED, splice one wire from the led into that power wire from yoru pump to the switch and the other to ground. Put a resistor on one of the led wires.

Another good idea is an inline fuse on the power wire to the pump just in case

My turbo friend is telling me that it is either bad for the inline pump to sit there dead spinning, or bad for the stock pump cause it will be backed up, rebutle? Cause it sounds like a good idea, but doesn't haveing it there and off act as an obstruction?

Has anyone installed this kit themseleves? And where do you all have the FMU and In line pump mounted?

How does the pump sound? Does "loud" mean a whining or buzzing noise, or something you can feel reverberating through the body of the car? Can foam or rubber reduce the sound transmission?

I can't debate that myself, but my mechanic and the guy i bought the kit off both recommended that method. No need to have it on all the time. Just draws extra power when it's not needed.

Fuel feeds just fine when it's not on... i had a steady 40+psi at idle.
