Wow, and here we were thinking it was your FMU. I hope it is just Fuel filter. But you know if your fuel filter is dirty chances are your Fuel injectors are dirty as well. Not a bad idea to clean that one too.
Once everything is operational you should have no problem running 14.

Ok defiently not fixed yet. The only thing I noticed is that my fuel pressure gets up to 50 somthing pounds a lot quicker now. Probaly good for a 15.5 or 4. STILL SUCKS! Im gonna try Superbirds idea and unhook the FMU. I bet the fuel guage still reads the same. Question? If I were to install a fuel pump that always pumps out 75 pounds of pressure as opposed to my stock 42-55 pound fuel pump, would this totaly eliminate my fuel problem and also the need for a FMU? If so what pump is reccommended?Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

I checked out my FMU hook up and heres the resulys. The two screws in the front of course hook up to the fuel lines. The hookup in the rear of the FMU goes along the back of the engine and ends in a T directly behind the altanator. The right side of the T goes farther to the rear of the engine and then into some plastic piping. The piping is in the far left corner when looking at the engine from the front. There is nonthing connected to the left side of the T. As far as anything being hooked up to the rubber elbow on the throttle body aproximatly 6 inches from where the throttle body and powerdyne piping connect on the right side..... There is a line coming directly from the rubber elbow and connecting right behind the altanator to somthing with the word DELPHI on it. Half way throgh this connecting line a copper looking hard, skinny tube is connected and goes some where to the bottom right side of my engine. I can in no way find a connection from the back of my FMU to the rubber elbow on the throttle body. HERES MY IDEA.......... Simply unhook that line from the right side of the T ( Im not sure what I do with it once I unhook it ) Then hook one side of the T up to the plastic elbow on the throttle body. Then hook the other side of the T to the line that is presently hooked up to the rubber elbow. Then I should be ready to run 14s. Am I correct? I want to do it right now but Im scared I will blow somthing up.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

This sounds like where I messed up on mine. The FMU should have the front two lines going to the fuel lines like you said. The back line is a vaccum line and should go straight to a t-connector coming off the throttle body. The spot behind the alternator is not the right place. Try switching that and see if your fuel pressure jumps up at WOT. I think that is your problem. Look at IRONMAN24's site. I think he has pictures of how the FMU hooks up.1997 Supercharged Firebird
14.01@99.7mph 2.1 60ft.

I changed everything up.... I took Superbirds advice and hooked everything up to the throttle body. Then I hooked the line that the FMU was hooked up to back to were it belongs. Before this change I was reading 50-53 pounds of fuel pressure at the highest. Now it goes somthing like this. Idle-42..... 1st gear-55-60.....2nd gear-58-63.......3rd gear-saw it go past 65 but had to slow down. COMMENTS- defiently a SOTP differance. I can now feel a surge of power each time my boost kicks in. Hopefully track results will confirm this and its not all in my mind because Im seeing my fuel pressure raise up. Im going to the track tonight or tomorrow and will post my times.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

Best of 6 runs was a 15.8. CAN I GET A FREAKIN BREAK????!!!!! I had my 18 inch zo6 rims and was pullin 16.2- 16.4 with 2.7 foot 60's. I let out 20 pounds of tire pressure and pulled 2 15.8's with 2.3 60 foots. WTF? What the hell is wrong? I thought I had this thing figured out. Fuel pressure was still readind in the 60's. Man those numbers I just posted are numbers a stock 3.8 should be pullin. FU*K!!!!!!!!!! What else can I do to try and fix this thing? As long as I hear the blower wine and my guage is reading 5 psi then the head unit is fine right? No weird noises coming from it... If I was averaging 16 flat before the blower, what should 5 psi be giving me? The best Ive pulled is a 15.6 so far. The guy at the start line said that he's watching my right tire spin past the 60 ft mark. Could everything be right , but my open differential cant handle the power? FuC! Man someone please help me. Im really frustrated right now.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

What was your MPH? Post your entire time slip.
I thought for sure you were going to get 14's this time!
Not having LSD is hurting but I still think something else may be wrong. I still think its fuel related. Fuel pump sounds like its working fine becuase 42 at idle is right where it should be.
What was the weather like? Did your kit have a timing retard device with it? If so what is it set at?
Have you spoke with the mechanic who installed it? Any chance he can find out if it is still running lean?
If you don't have auto-tap is there a dyno in the area where you could check the air/fuel mixture and see what kind of power its putting out?
Maybe make a post in drag race section with your entire time slip and weather conditions to see if you could get some more input from other people.

I do not have the timing retard. Here are my best stats with the supercharger.... reaction -.803, 60ft -2.343, 1/8- 10.012, 1/8 mph-69.75, 1/4 et 15.635, 1/4 mph 87.21 my average time slip prior to the charger went more like this reaction 1.043, 60ft-2.351, 1/8 et-10.349, 1/8 mph-66.74, 1/4 et-16.142, 1/4 mph 86.08 . I just took the car for a spin and it feels like its pullin like crazy. But I noticed that even when I punch it from 25-30 mph Im still getting wheel hop. Could it be that Im just dont have enuogh traction with my one legger? check this out... Last night I also ran 4 of these.60ft-2.715, 1/8 et- 10.642, 1/8 mph-72.81 1/4 et-16.328, 1/4 mph-86.85..... What Im trying to point out is that I dropped a half second just by letting air out of my tires. What would posi traction do for me? Also the weather here at night is still always in the 70's. Im sure Im losing some right therew as well.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

I'm always weary about using 18"er for racing. The stock with z rated tires would do better. But I don't think that's it but I think there might be something else. I don't know if its fuel or not. Sounds like its working fine.
Have you ever tried dynoing your car? Just to see how much HP you have gain. There is a shop here in my town where they could check out if you have the proper air/fuel mixture while the car is dynoed.
Are your spark plugs fairly new? You don't have any lose spark plug wires or anything? Are your fuel injectors dirty? Is your boost retardant set at 2 when driving on high octane and 0 when racing with higher octane? Is your O2 sensor working fine?
I know its racing season, but hold off for a bit till the major or minor bugs have been worked out. You might end up doing more damage to your car.
Again, I'm not a pro at this and I don't think anybody is. Stick with it and iron it out. Remember, any major power adders will always develop bugs in your car. Like I said, it took me several months till I figured mine out.

I bet you could gain a good half sec. from lsd but that doesnt explain your mph. You should be seeing 95-100 mph. I'm no expert on this but I lost 10 mph and 1 second in the quarter mile becuase i was running lean. Make sure fuel injectors arent dirty and simple plugs and wire stuff.
I would not keep driving it hard until you work out the bugs. Running lean with a supercharger is not a good combination. Try to find a dyno and check air/fuel so you can be sure you arent running lean still.1997 Supercharged Firebird
14.01@99.7mph 2.1 60ft.

I would diffinately got some 15's for draging with lots of rubber. You are wasting soooo much time spinning those rubber bands at the track. They look great on the street, but they have no flex when you are trying to launch your car. If you did that, you are going to get really close to the upper 14's. Next, get both tires to hook up, get some 3.43's or taller, and a converter if you have an auto. I really think that you are measuring things the wrong way. You would probably be a much happier person if you bought some quality dyno time and see what all that boost is doing for you.
You still do have pretty low boost numbers. I haven't read all 4 pages lately, but just make sure that the plumbing coming to the compressor is free of obstructions, if the air can't get there fast enough, then it can't be compressed.1995 Firebird 3.8 A4, 140,000 miles and going strong
Basically Stock, college=poor
Junior Mechanical Engineering Student: Milwaukee School of Engineering; Cpl, MN Army National Guard...just got promoted :)

I got 6 psi for the first time today and it feels good. Shirl told me that I was launching at to low of an rpm. That would explain why Im getting 2.3-4 60 ft's. Just getting that down to a 2.1 would bring my et down a half second. Wich would put me down to a 15.3. Then puting my 16 inch stock tires back on would put me around 15 flat. Then hopefully with a new walbro fuel pump actually putting my fuel pressure in the 70's and some posi traction and 3.73' s Im getting soon, I SHOULD be in the 14's. Not to mention my psi has been getting better each week little by little. Man I hope Im right with my guestimation here. Please any opinions on if my guess is accurate or not are apprecciated.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)
