I think the fuel pump won't increase how much fuel goes into each cylinder. that's determined by the injector size, pulse width, and fuel pressure regulator. the extra fuel that the pump can flow will just go into the return lines back to the tank. the bigger pump will help give ur FMU more fuel to work w/ at a higher pressure, but it does not directly control the fuel that goes into the cylinders. I say u get some slightly bigger injectors put in, up the pressure some, and see what happens. maybe some tuning in the future, cuz tuning is the only way to really optimize all this stuff like injectors, fuel pressure, cams, head flow, sc's, ect.

This is the million dollar question...With this new 255 lph pump will I my current fuel pressure go from 58-63 under full booste to 65-75 under full boost? If it's not gonna do anything besides make it easier for my car to get that 58-63 pounds under boost then it is a waste of my money and I need to invest in a real solution to my problem. I need more opinions on this please.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

Well the fuel pumps not hooked up yet but I had to post some stuff anyway. I just got my car back from looking pretty and they did a sub par job on my paint. Also my antenna is missing (stolen)? I noticed that I was only getting about 4-5 pounds of boost instead of a consistent 5. So I tightened it down more than I ever have before. I think me and my mechanic did not understand the concept of you guys saying you had to tighten the hell out of the belt. I think we had been babying it. I tightened it till My tool for the spacer broke. Took it down atleast another quarter of an inch... And this is what happened. Normally it would have to build. Example, 1gear= 3-4 psi, 2gear= 5 psi and third gear would maybe reach 6. Usualy like 5 and a half though. Iwas happy just seeing it reach 6 psi and thought that was how its suppossed to be. But now I have seen the light! I practiced my launching from 2000 rpm like shirl told me and I noticed somthing different. Shore enough my tightening made ahuge differance. 1 gear= automatic 6 psi, 2 gear 6 and a half psi, 3 gear back to 5 and a half but building up past 6 depending on how far I can go before loose road. That extra 1-3 pounds down low made a huge differance. Anyways just wanted to share that. Probaly tighten it somemore tomorrow. Just keep in mind all the extra stress on the other accessories when you overtighten the belt. I only tighten mine down that much for track runs. Once you get 6lbs for street use I wouldnt go any tighter. We really just need to come up with a way to make it run on a groved pulley and be done with it.1997 Supercharged Firebird
14.01@99.7mph 2.1 60ft.

I here that. It almost seems not fare when compared to blowers on other cars. They are all getting atleast 9 psi and they all run on the grooved side so slippidge dosent even effect them. Plus there's are cheaper! Oh well... There are people running high 13's and low 14's off this blower when there car was mid 15 beforehand, so it defiently serves it purpose. Youve got the 9 lb pully right? Do you have problems keeping boost above 6 or is it just a myth like Im thinking and a couple people made comments about the 9 lb pully slipping to much and everyone just ordered the 6 pounder. I would think if you tighten it enough you could get that 9 pounds for atleast a while. So what if it slips down to 5. 5-7 is the best Im seeing with my 6 pounder. Im just curious about the 9 pounder and would appreciate any feedback if you even have the 9 pound pully.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

Nope I have the 6lb. I get 9 by using belt dressing and makeing it VERY tight. Only at the track of course. I dont think the 9lb pulley would be worth it if it had to be run on the smooth side. Shirl only saw 3 lbs or something when she had it becuase it sliped so much. It would be better to just solve this problem.1997 Supercharged Firebird
14.01@99.7mph 2.1 60ft.

My Vortech installation is getting close to reality. It too will run on the flat side of the belt and I am trying out some ideas to prevent the slipping problem without having to tighten the snot out of the belt and kill the other accessories. Three ideas I have are: have a machine shop diamond knurl the pulley, put a rubberized coating of some sort on the pulley, or take a section out of a rubber tube (bicycle or motorcycle) and glue it to the pulley.180 Thermo, K&N Filter, Transgo stage 2, Pacesetters, Magnaflow cat, Flowmaster Catback, 3.42 LSD, Hotchkis LCA/Panhard, Bilstein, Eibach Pro, 1LE bars, SP crossdrilled/slotted rotors.

Vortech Project 1.0 failed.
Vortech Project 2.0 in the works

Thats exactly what I did today. I got a new tool to put against the spacer and hammered that thing down close to another inch. 1 gear 9 psi, 2 gear 8-9 psi, 3 gear 5-8 psi. WOW!!!!!!!!! Now thats what I was expecting performance wise. Actually even more than I was expecting. That 3-4 psi I was getting in first and second gear all the times I went to the track was just not enough boost. I wasn't even hitting 5 psi till I was close to the end of the quarter. But I thought it was supposed to be like that. I didnt know you were supposed to get 5-9 psi from the very beginning. This explains why my track times went from 16.1 to only 15.6 and my quarter only improved by 1-2 mph. NOT ENOUGH BOOST. you guys probaly thought that when I said 5-6 psi that I ment it like you get it, not that I dont see it till like 75 mph. What a huge differance. I really dont see 14's being a problem now. But there is a problem... 10 minutes after I found my new power I decided to put on all my stock tires in order to go to the track tomorrow and post a new best. So I put the tires outside by my car. My wife asked me to go to the bank with her real quick and sighn some stuff. So I went, came home and my friggin tires are gone!!!!!!!!!!!! You all know my luck by now so is it really a surprise? Well Ill have to go with my 18's on. Ill go tomorrow or saturday, wish me luck (again).Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

MMmm, MMmmm... Isn't that something. You're tires getting stolen. The other day someone was trying to steal my car cover but they couldn't untie it from the bottom and being that it is a busy public place they didn't bother. They left the cover tangled up on my car.
Any way that is good news. You not only solve you 6psi, now you are getting 9psi. How exactly do you mean by hammering down to an inch? Did you tighten it really hard?
As far as belt slippage. That is a common problem not only for us but for alot of SC owners. Even Stephan is experiencing some belt slippage and couldn't go to a 15lbs. I think!?
I know a couple of Mustangs with vortech running 10lbs and they are experiencing belt slippage all the time.
I just got my 8 rib pulley today. I'm shipping it to my dad in Texas so he could smooth out some ribs off and create a slight V groove on the sides. So when the belt is tighten, it is not only tighten from the bottom but also from the sides. This will wear out the belt even more, esp. on the sides, but I don't think it will be a whole lot. I'm going to design it first and make sure of the dimensions before it is done. I don't want to mess this up because it is hard to find and buy a cheap 8 rib pulley. I hope it works.

Yea I tightened the hell out of it. The inch hing means that I put the adjustable pully down so far that I could see atleast two inches of the adjustable pully mount. You know the adjustable pully bracket directly behind the pully. Well until the past 48 hours I could only see a inch of that bracket. Now I see two...Not to mention twice as much boost. Took her out for some test driving today. Full tank of gas and me and my wife in the car... First gear literally throws us back in the seat. Defiently the fastest car Ive ever driven besides a 2000 vett I almost got. And it feels faster than the vette, but Im sure the vette would smoke it. You know what imean though... The boosted power just kinda hits you all at once, while the n/a vette pulled so effertously that you didnt even realize you were already in the triple digits. I love my car more than ever. I cant wait to get to the track tomorrow!!! I cant beleave some people were calling this a fisher price, my first charger, blower. Yes I was starting to doubt the powerdyne but 9 psi is the sh*t. There are plenty of people here getting 8-9 psi with this thing. Thats not bad at all. OK I'm too excited. Sorry for rambling but it just feels soooooo good to to get the full potential.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)
