  • Help with injectors, "pin style" ?

I tried to install these injectors.

    http://www.intense-racing.com/Mercha...tegory_Code=IF

They are 42# injectors and they installed into the intake manifold fine but the electrical connectors were not the right type. I have never done an injector swap before and my speed shop guy told me I needed "pin style" injectors not the "flat pin style" that intense gave me. Has anyone had this problem? Also where can I get some "pin style" 36# injectors? All I can find either are $60 a piece for GTP ones (which I suppose fit) or the same ones from intense.

(oh yea btw I do know that I need to program for the injectors, I have a HP Tuners setup that I can use)

My project is almost complete and I hope to have some track numbers in about 2 weeks. With all the upgrades. Hoping for some low 13's or maybe with the hand of God pushing me a 12.99

GTP injectors are 36# as I recall, and should bolt right on without changing harness or anything. That's a good bit of fuel, and even supports them with their blowers to some hefty HP numbers.

Thanks for your responces. They don't have a phone number for me to ask them about the pin style however. Like someone said already they changed the injector style, did this effect the style of the pin connector. The 2001 3.8 V6 I have uses round pin connectors. Does anyone know about the pin style or do I have to buy new injector electronic connections? Also, where's a good place to buy the injectors.

Nope, but I have been looking into it along with getting the car tuned.

I went ahead and ordered the Tech Edge Injector Connectors that are listed in the link above. They should just splice in to the stock wires and then hook up perfect to the 42 pound injectors. I've never heard of this problem before I started putting the injectors in. Thanks for the help guys.
