Well, after reading everything about the benifits of having the fuel regulated by the computer, I think I'll just get larger injectors. The funny thing is, I just replaced my plugs and wires the other day, and my plugs indicate that my car is running a little on the lean side (chalky white in color). Now, after installing the Walbro and 42# injectors....hopefully this isn't the case. I don't think I'd be in the clear running 5lbs of boost with no FMU or fuel pump and having my car running so lean. To me that sounds like trouble.

Well you can't just get bigger injectors without tuning, but yes you can definately replace the FMU with bigger injectors. It is recommended to run a 1:1 boost/fuel pressure regulator to stabalize the top of the curve. At least thats what I've heard and read in Maximum Boost.

correct, this keeps the delta p across the injectors constant. The V6 cars run like this from the factory, or at least for the vac referenced.

I am going to be installing some V6 lines on my ls1 to get a true return style system, and run a vac/boost refereneced regulator.

As far as the FMU vs Tuning, my opinion is extremely biased, but there are 2 ways to control fueling, the correct way, and the ghetto way.

correct, is command a desired air fuel, and have the computer supply that air fuel.

Ghetto, is to have a FMU add fuel to your system.

So does an adjustable FMU regulate fuel accross the rpm band equally? How are they tuneable?
