how much do bigger injectors affect gas mileage? does an fmu solve the problem with getting better gas mileage AND having the power on tap when you open the throttle up? i know more fuel = more horsepower, but im talking about cruising speeds here.

More fuel != more horsepower. Upgrading injectors on a mostly stock engine will not give you any more horsepower. If you don't have a real need for new injectors, don't waste your money.Matt

I'm averaging 16.6 mpg with my 42.5 lb injectors. :(
But I can't keep my foot out of it either.Turbocharged and intercooled.
17psi(oops), stock fuel pump, no FMU
http://www.cardomain.com/id/phoenix64
Video: ftp://ftp.pfabrication.com Assorted car ****: TurboCamaroFull.

I just doubled the flowrate vs KPA values in the fuel control portion of the HPtuners program. It runs really well, doesn't smoke or anything, but I think it is a little rich.

Viper is correct in that formula. I had better results in saying the stock injectors were 19lb , however. I've always heard 22lb, but I heard once 19lb. The 22lb tune didn't work as good as the 19lb tune, so I stuck with it. Think my injectors were cloged? I only have 23k on the odometer though. and they looked clean when they were removed.2001 Pewder Firebird V6 A4
Custom Turbo Kit Details On Site
http://www.cardomain.com/id/njp98
Best 1/4 time NA - 15.224 seconds @ 87.55 MPH

I think njp98 is right.
42.5-22 = 20.5
42.5/20.5 = 2.07
So 2.00 should be lean, but I'm down to about 1.88 and I'm still a little rich.Turbocharged and intercooled.
17psi(oops), stock fuel pump, no FMU
http://www.cardomain.com/id/phoenix64
Video: ftp://ftp.pfabrication.com Assorted car ****: TurboCamaroFull.
