I bet I have more boost at lower RPMs than any of the powerdyne owners. A full 11.5psi at 2300RPM.

My setup is completly custom, but turbo lag is non-exsistant over 3000 RPM. Below that there is a little lag but your talking tenths of a second. Again I'm not sure but I don't think powerdyne users are get any usable boost at all at low RPM.

If you want instant power at lower RPM get a roots blower, or the next best thing is a turbo. The powerdyne style of blower is more for high rpm power.

I was just going off what rk sport's add said. Their kit said you get boost as low as 1800 rpm.
Modifications:<br />headers, throtle bod spacer, flowmaster, high flow magnaflow carsound cat, powerdyne sc with 2.9\" pulley and by-pass valve, walboro 255 fuel pump, spec stage 2 clutch, and HP Tuners

I don't know for sure about the powerdyne, I owned one, but sold it before installing it for this very reason. When I bought it, I thought I would have close to full boost at any RPM. But I found out later that it would build linearly.

        For example. a 6psi pulley makes 6psi at 6000RPM, but only 3psi at 3000RPM.

So a 9psi pulley will make 4.5 psi at 3000RPM.

If you want to see how these make boost, I can e-mail you a really good video that shows how boost builds with RMP.

I don't mean to talk down the powerdyne its a good unit, I just want to make sure you know what I didn't know.

I still haven't found out if my fuel system will support any type of forced induction and yes i would like to see that video thanks. So, you think turbos are better than superchargers.

with the turbo kit it comes with a inline pump and FMU and that will give you care the needed fuel.
it you get HP tuners just upgrade the injectors and tune it to work with no FMU

dont forget that the turbo kit also has an intercooler which makes it safer to run more boost.

But, according to rk sport if i do have a low pressure fuel system that their kit won't work which includes a high pressure pump won't i have the same problem with a turbo kit?

If the fuel pump the FPR and the injectors are all the same as earlier models, then you should be fine. If not a new fuel system wouldn't be a big deal. I don't think there is much chance they did that just for the last year of the f-body though.

The 2002 camaro does call for 2 different fprs and in production gm went from high to low pressure fuel systems after june 2001. the fuel pump and the injectors are the same o just need to know if the rest of it is the same. Do you think they would have went from high pressure lines to low pressure lines?

Fuel injection requiers high pressure to work as I understand it, you should try putting a fuel pressure gauge on it just to see how low they made it. They might have lowered it a few psi, but I think Fuel injectors require a least high 30s as far as psi, so you would have to still have high pressure fuel lines.

I ran into the same problem with mine. I talked to the tech at LM performance and he said all you need is a 2000 fuel pressure regulator.
