  • BOV question.

I currently have an internal BOV system/line which runs from the outlet side of the intercooler to the inlet hose before the supercharger.

At SLP Day, my internal BOV line got kinked, causing enough pressure that each of my major ducting connections popped off at different times.

I'm running into space restriction problems because of the horizontally mounted intercooler. As a result, I've started to think about an external BOV ... which would eliminate one whole line from my setup.

I'm looking for suggestions on whether or not this would be a good decision ... and if so, is there a suggested BOV to use for our cars?

There shouldn't be any adverse effects of using an external BOV (and with the problems you are now having i would suggest it). as for BOV's anything will work from the cheap bosch to the ultra expensive hks SSQ. I personally dont see any reason so spend a ton of money on a BOV as they all do the same thing, just find a sound that isnt annoying to you (some are very high pitched and loud). go find some sound clips before you buy anything.

I'm getting ready to start putting the bird back together and need a BOV and some ducting work done (cutting/welding - I have most of the materials) ... do you know if this offer's still good? ... and if they do any ducting work?

Jenn you could get the work done by Tyson at Performance Auto Fabrication. Head to EFA and , wait, you're a member over there. PAF shares space with FBC, and Tyson could make whatever you want. He's done work for me multiple times.
