I have Nitrous on my car right now and I was wondering. If I get Tiago's turbo kit, will I still be able to use nitrous with the turbo?(just like 50 shot or something small)
Or would I need to have forged internals and lower compression and stuff if I wanted to do that?
im not too sure if anyones ventured into that arena with a f-bod before. if it were me though, id just convert to CO2 and be happy with it. im not sure if you can just interchance bottles and run same lines or not, but just research how the CO2 kit is made and make one your own. a lot of people run CO2 in place of nitrous on forced induction, but ive actually never heard of anyone use nitrous with forced induction. sorry, i know its not much help :( .

CO2? what? you do mean carbon dioxide right cuse if you do there is no way, co2 can be used to put out fires, so how can it be used to help ignite a fire?
or
are you talking about the cryo2 thing that used co2 to cool the air comming in?

NX makes a CO2 kit... thats what im talking about. i dont mean jet it like nitrous. it sprays it right onto the intercooler and "makes the incoming air below freezing" so colder air going into the engine is more dense with oxygen. tiago made one for his turbo set up, and i just didnt see anything wrong with runnin CO2 through the same existing nitrous lines. adapting the CO2 kit would probably not be that much of a headache as you may only need a longer line to reach the intercooler. then whatever the CO2 kit consists of could be reproduced by going to hobby lobby or something. or just buy NX's for around $400.

you'd need stronger internals to run nitrous safely. if boost was kept in check at a low 7 psi or less, and a 25-35 shot was used, u should still be fine.

Its someting that I want to do as well =). however, I wouldnt do it with no money in the bank if u know what I mean. Id say just do with it RAC GAS though it what I would be most concerned about. You should probly have auto tap so u can watch what ur cars doing or dyno do it so u can have it hooked up to a computer and such. Let us know how it goes =) Id say its the best way to work it. No2 Super has been done - lets see how the turboed works.
Yea that's what I was about to say. She went from a 15.3 to a13.9 with the powerdyne. Then she threw some nitros on there and went from that 13.9 to a best of 12.6 I beleave.I dont remember reading that she built up her internals. If she didn't then we are really underestimating the reliability of our blocks.
darkthoughts, explain this a little more, is the co2 sprayed like nitrous? or is it expanded and dumped? and if it is the second one, would there be any real gains on a n/a motor?

i don't think that shirl had the 9 lb. pulley on her sc when she added nitrous. i think it was at the 6-7 lb. setting. the nitrous will be good since it can cool the intake charge off, more or less depending on type of kit and placement of the nozzle or nozzles.
